Monolitveien (3A-45, 6-84) is a road in the Heggeli and Smestad in the Ullern area of Oslo, and goes from Middelthuns street (a separated section between the Vigeland Park and Vestre Graveyard) to Ullernchausseen. The road was named in 1940 after Monolitten in the Vigelands Park, and is mainly residential.

It is mainly used by the sports club Njård for indoor sports such as basketball and handball. Formerly, mainly in the 1960s and 1970s, it was used for large meetings and rock concerts. It has also been used as a professional boxing venue.

Husebybakken was a metro station on the Kolsås Line of the Oslo Metro. Serving the neighborhood of Montebello in Oslo, Norway, it opened in 1942, when the connection line between Sørbyhaugen and Jar was opened. It was closed on 19 June 1961, but reopened from 31 July 2006 to 31 May 2008, when the rest of the Kolsås Line was being renovated. While in use, it served as the terminal station of the Kolsås Line, and for Line 6 of the metro. The station was demolished in 2008.

Ekely is een landgoed in Oslo waar de Noorse schilder Edvard Munch lange tijd zijn huis en atelier had. Munch kocht de 40 ha grond in 1916 van een tuinder en trok zelf in het uit 1870 daterende landhuis. Een uitbreiding, Winter Studio genaamd, werd in 1929 aangebouwd naar een ontwerp van architect Henrik Bull. In de diverse nevengebouwen liet Munch jonge kunstenaars wonen.

Monolitten, som tyder «ein (udelt) stein», er namnet på den drygt 17 meter høge steinsøyla av ei einaste blokk Iddefjordsgranitt med til saman 121 uthogde menneskefigurar, som står som det visuelle midtpunktet i Vigelandsanlegget i Frognerparken i Oslo. Monolitten vart modellert i leire av skulptøren Gustav Vigeland og støypt i gips i tre stykkje, som er teke vare på i Vigeland-museet rett attmed Frognerparken. Men figurane vart altså hogd ut av ei einaste steinblokk i samsvar med denne gipsmodellen, og dette vart gjort etter at blokka var sett opp på staden der ho skulle stå. Eit hus med stillas vart bygd kring blokka for å kunne få arbeidet gjort.
