1784 Erzincan earthquake (Q109927802)

Erzincan in Turkey, then part of the Ottoman Empire, was struck by a major earthquake on 18 July 1784. It caused widespread damage between Erzincan and Muş. It had an estimated magnitude of 7.6 Ms. More than 90% of the houses in Erzincan collapsed and at least 5,000 people died, with some reports of more than 10,000 deaths. A 150 km long zone of surface rupture was observed. It ruptured the Yedisu segment at the eastern end of the North Anatolian Fault, which has not ruptured since then and is now regarded as a seismic gap. In 2013 it was estimated that about 2.67 m of displacement deficit has accumulated on this fault segment since 1784, sufficient to drive an earthquake of up to Mw7.5.

Duzgin Baba (Zazaki: Duzgin Baba or dial. Duzgın Bava, also Kemerê Duzgıni "the rock of Duzgın", Kurdish: Duzgin Baba, دوزگن بابا) is a religious figure among Alevi Kurds, especially in the Tunceli Province. He also symbolizes a mountain in Nazımiye, nearby the village Qil. The people believe that he disappeared at the top of this mountain, which is known as Kemerê Duzgıni (the rock of Duzgın), Bimbarek (holy) or Kemerê Bımbareki (holy rock) in Zazaki. According to local narrations he is the son of sayyid Kures/Kureş who was an ancestor of Kureşan community and his real name is not Duzgın, it is Haydar or Shah Haydar (Zaz. Sa Heyder). But some researches suggest the opposite of this view.

Pulur / Sakyol Höyük, Sakyol köyünün kuzeydoğusunda günümüzde Keban Baraj Gölü altında kalmış olan bir höyüktür. Yakınında yer aldığı köyün eski adı Pulur, yeni adı ise Sakyol'dur. Anadolu'daki Pulur Höyük adıyla bilinen diğer höyüklerden ayırt etmek için Pulur / Sakyol ya da Sakyol / Pulur Höyük adıyla kayıtlara alınmıştır. Höyüğü ilk tespit eden İsmail Kılıç Kökten, yerleşmeden Pulur Köyü içindeki Kültepe olarak bahsetmektedir. Höyük, baraj gölü altında kamadan önce Murat Çağı ve Karasu Çağı'nın birleştiği bölgenin 4–5 km. uzağında idi. Tepe olarak 120 x 80 metre ölçüsünde olup ovadan 20 metre yükseklikteydi.
