Bonaire

The Washikemba–Fontein–Onima Important Bird Area is a 5,959 ha strip of land along the north-eastern coast of the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands. It has been identified as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International because it supports populations of various threatened or restricted-range bird species. It contains three freshwater reservoirs as well as arid scrubland and some introduced fruit trees. Birds for which the IBA was identified include bare-eyed pigeons, American coots, least terns, yellow-shouldered amazons, Caribbean elaenias and pearly-eyed thrashers. Potential threats to the site come from illegal trapping of the parrots, habitat destruction by feral donkeys and goats, predation by feral cats, and human disturbance of nesting colonies.

Lac Bay is a shallow bay on the south-eastern coast of the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands. It has a fringing reef at its mouth and contains about 100 ha of mangroves as well as a small harbour for fishing vessels. Its seagrass beds are used by sea turtles. It has been designated a Ramsar site as a wetland of international importance.

Boven Bolivia is a hamlet on the island of Bonaire at the head of a lagoon on the island's east coast.

The Bonaire National Marine Park or BNMP is one of the oldest marine reserves in the world. It includes the sea around Bonaire and Klein Bonaire from the high water line to a depth of sixty meters (approximately 200 feet). The park was established in 1979 and covers 2700 hectares (6700 acres) and includes a coral reef, seagrass, and mangrove vegetation. The Lac Bay lagoon is also part of the underwater park.

Stadion Antonio Trenidat is an association football stadium in Rincon, on the island of Bonaire. The stadium holds 1,500 people.

The St. Louis Bertrand Church (Papiamento: Parokia San Luis Beltran; Dutch: Sint-Ludovicus Bertranduskerk) is a religious building affiliated with the Catholic Church and is located in the town of Rincon on the Caribbean island of Bonaire, organized within the Dutch Caribbean as a special municipality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The St. Bernard Church (Papiamento: Parokia San Bernardo) is a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in the city of Kralendijk, the capital of the Caribbean island of Bonaire, a territory in the Caribbean Netherlands organised as a special municipality of the Netherlands in the Antilles.

The Dos Pos Important Bird Area lies on the leeward side of the northern end of the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands. It is a 234 ha former fruit plantation, adjacent to the Washington Slagbaai National Park, that has been identified by BirdLife International as an Important Bird Area (IBA) because it supports populations of several threatened or restricted-range bird species. The landscape is one of small hills and sheltered valleys with remnant fruit trees, mainly mangoes, and a small ephemeral pond. Threats to the unprotected site are habitat degradation by feral donkeys, goats and pigs, predation by introduced cats and rats, and poaching for the pet trade.

Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino is a diving resort hotel and casino on the Caribbean island of Bonaire. The grounds include a scuba centre, bars, restaurants and casino reported to be the world's first "barefoot casino". The hotel has 141 rooms. The headquarters for Divi Resorts is located in Chapel Hill, NC.

Municipal Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Kralendijk, on the island of Bonaire. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 3,000 people.

De slavenhuisjes bij Witte Pan en Oranje Pan zijn kleine huisjes op Bonaire waarin de slaven die werkten in de zoutpannen de nacht doorbrachten.

Landhuis Karpata is een oud landhuis nabij Rincon op het noordelijk deel van Bonaire, aan de kustweg vlak bij het Gotomeer. Het staat op de gelijknamige plantage Karpata, die oorspronkelijk Borneo heette. Landhuis Karpata wordt door de lokale bevolking Kas Grandi (groot huis) genoemd. Het vervallen landhuis is cultuurhistorisch erfgoed. Het grenst aan het Washington Slagbaai National Park en het Bonaire National Marine Park.

Nort di Saliña of Nort'i Saliña is een wijk van Kralendijk in Bonaire. Het bevindt zich ten noorden van Kralendijk (Playa), en is een van de grotere wijken van het eiland. Alle straatnamen in de wijk zijn vernoemd naar indianenstammen, zoals Kaya Seminole, Kaya Sioux, Kaya Azteca, Kaya Maya, Kaya Caribe.

Divi Divi Air Flight 014 (some sources refer to it as Flight 016), was a scheduled commuter flight from Hato International Airport in Curaçao to Flamingo International Airport in Bonaire carrying a single pilot and nine passengers, which on 22 October 2009 ditched in the Caribbean Sea off the Coast of Bonaire due to an engine failure.

The Pelkermeer Saltworks is a 6,851 ha saltern at the southern end of the island of Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands. Originally a series of natural shallow lagoons, it has been modified over centuries to enable salt production. It has been identified as an Important Bird Area (IBA) by BirdLife International. Within the saltern there is a 55 ha reserve established to protect a breeding colony of about 5,000 American flamingos. The IBA also supports populations of least, common, sandwich and royal terns, as well as large numbers of migratory waders. The saltern has been designated a Ramsar site as a wetland of international importance.

Fort Orange (Dutch: Fort Oranje) is a military fortification in Kralendijk, Bonaire. Originally built in 1639 as a nameless fort by the Dutch West India Company, it is the oldest masonry structure on the island of Bonaire. The fort has never been used for its intended purpose. In 1816, it was rebuilt and named Fort Orange. Its current lighthouse, Kralendijk Lighthouse, was built in 1932. It is one of ten fortresses worldwide named after the Dutch House of Orange.
