Kowloon City District

Kowloon () is one of the three areas of Hong Kong, along with Hong Kong Island and the New Territories. It is an urban area comprising the Kowloon Peninsula and New Kowloon. It has a population of 2,019,533 and a population density of 43,033/km² (111,450/sq mi) in 2006. It is the smallest, second most populous, and most densely populated of the divisions.

Channel Rock (Chinese: 海峽石) was a big rock in the midst of Kowloon Bay, in the east Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong, opposite Kwun Tong Ferry Pier. It was incorporated into the extension of the runway of Kai Tak Airport. A navigation light was built on the rock in 1921, but was demolished with the extension of the Kai Tak runway.

Kai Tak Airport (IATA: HKG, ICAO: VHHH) was an international airport of Hong Kong from 1925 until 1998. Officially known as Hong Kong International Airport from 1954 to 6 July 1998, it is often referred to as Hong Kong International Airport, Kai Tak,and Kai Tak International Airport, to distinguish it from its successor, Chek Lap Kok International Airport, built on reclaimed and levelled land around the islands of Chek Lap Kok and Lam Chau, 30 kilometres (19 mi) to the west.

Hammer Hill (Chinese: 斧山) is a 140m hill above Ngau Chi Wan in New Kowloon, Hong Kong. The correct English translation of its Chinese name is "Axe Hill".

The Henry Tang illegal basement controversy (Chinese: 唐英年大宅僭建風波) was an event that began on 13 February 2012 over the unapproved basement extensions of two adjoining residences in Kowloon Tong owned by Henry Tang, a 2012 Hong Kong Chief Executive election candidate. Despite the impact on Tang's credibility, the scandal did not prevent his nomination on 20 February that year.

Hoi Ping Chamber of Commerce Secondary School (Chinese: 旅港開平商會中學, abbr. HPCCSS) is a Band 1 EMI secondary school located in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon Hong Kong. Hoi Ping is also well known for its school athletic team which ranked third in the Hong Kong Inter-School Athletics Competition.

Hoi Sham Island (Chinese: 海心島; lit. 'island in the middle of the sea'), also called To Kwa Wan Island (土瓜灣島), was an island in Kowloon Bay off the coast of To Kwa Wan, Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong. It was connected to the mainland as a consequence of land reclamation, and it is now part of Hoi Sham Park (海心公園).

Hok Yuen (Chinese: 鶴園) or formerly Hok Un is a place in at the southeastern coast of Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong. It is at the north of Hung Hom, south of Quarry Hill and east of Lo Lung Hang.

The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) is the main provider of public housing in Hong Kong. It was established in April 1973 under the Housing Ordinance and is an agency of the Government of Hong Kong. In the same year, the Resettlement Department and the Building Section of the Urban Services Department were merged to form the Housing Department, which acts as the Housing Authority's executive body.

Kowloon Bay (Chinese: 九龍灣) is a bay within Victoria Harbour and a neighbourhood within Kowloon, Hong Kong.

To Kwa Wan (Chinese: 土瓜灣; Cantonese Yale: Tóugwāwàahn) is a bay and an area of the eastern shore of Kowloon peninsula. The area is part of urban Hong Kong, and is situated between Hok Yuen, Hung Hom, Ma Tau Chung and Ma Tau Kok. Administratively, the area belongs to the Kowloon City District of Kowloon.

Prince Edward Road East (Chinese: 太子道東) and Prince Edward Road West (Chinese: 太子道西) are roads in Kowloon, Hong Kong, going in an east-west direction and linking Tai Kok Tsui, Mong Kok, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon City and San Po Kong (outside the retired Kai Tak Airport).

Princess Margaret Road (Chinese: 公主道; lit. "Princess Road") is a road in Kowloon, Hong Kong, forming a part of Route 1.

Fat Kwong Street (Chinese: 佛光街) is a street in Ho Man Tin, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

New Method College (abbreviated to NMC) was a secondary school located in Black Rock Hill, Kowloon City District, Hong Kong. Its stated mission was "to recognise each student as an individual". It was the fourth school of the same name, with the first one built in 1951 on Hong Kong Island. It was also the first school to participate in the Direct Subsidy Scheme. It was announced that the school would close in 2012 due to a chronic decrease in enrollments. The former campus at 25 Man Fuk Road now houses Stamford American School Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Children's Hospital (Chinese: 香港兒童醫院; Cantonese Yale: Hēunggóng Yìhtùhng Yīyún) is the first children hospital in Hong Kong's public healthcare system, located in Kowloon City, Hong Kong. Located at the south apron of the former Kai Tak Airport, the hospital has 468 beds for inpatients and day-patients, providing mainly tertiary services for complex and rare paediatric cases. Funded by the Hong Kong Government, construction of the HK$13 billion hospital began in August 2013. The hospital treats patients with a referral up to 19 years of age.

The Kai Tak Development (Chinese: 啟德發展計劃), abbreviated as "KTD" and formerly called South East Kowloon Development (東南九龍發展計劃), refers to the redevelopment of the former Kai Tak Airport site in Kai Tak, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

The Kai Tak Nullah (Chinese: 啟德明渠), also known as the Kai Tak River (啟德河) and sometimes spelled Kaitak, is a nullah or watercourse that collects water from the rivers and streams flowing from the hills in northern New Kowloon. It empties into a narrow channel leading into the Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter. Part of the nullah is covered by roads and other facilities.

Kau Pui Lung (Chinese: 靠背壟; Cantonese Yale: kaau bui lúng), formerly Kau Pui Loong or Hau Pui Loong, is a valley and area between Ma Tau Wai and To Kwa Wan, and west of Ma Tau Chung in Kowloon of Hong Kong. The area now full of schools near the junction of Kau Pui Lung Road and Tin Kwong Road‌, as well as along Farm Road, where Heep Yunn School is located.

King George V School (KGV, pronounced "K-G-Five") is a coeducational international secondary independent school of the English Schools Foundation (ESF), located in Ho Man Tin, Hong Kong. The school has more than 1,900 students and is one of the oldest schools in Hong Kong. Students take IGCSEs/GCSEs followed by the International Baccalaureate Diploma or the British BTEC programme. There is a Learning Enhancement Centre (LEC) for students with learning difficulties. The campus has an area of 10.2 acres (4.1 ha). The school is one of three ESF secondary schools in Kowloon and the New Territories, the others being Sha Tin College and Renaissance College.

Kowloon Walled City (Chinese: 九龍寨城) was an extremely densely populated and largely lawless enclave of China within the boundaries of Kowloon City of former British Hong Kong. Built as an imperial Chinese military fort, the walled city became a de jure enclave after the New Territories were leased to the United Kingdom in 1898. Its population increased dramatically after the end of the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong during World War II, attracting mostly refugees fleeing the renewed Chinese Civil War.

New Kowloon is an area in Hong Kong, bounded to the south by Boundary Street, and to the north by the ranges of the Eagle's Nest, Beacon Hill, Lion Rock, Tate's Cairn and Kowloon Peak. It covers the present-day Kwun Tong District and Wong Tai Sin District, and northern parts of the Sham Shui Po District and Kowloon City District.

The Kowloon City District Council (Chinese: 九龍城區議會) is the district council for the Kowloon City District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Kowloon City District Council currently consists of 20 members, of which the district is divided into 2 constituencies, electing a total of 4 members, 8 district committee members, and 8 appointed members. The last election was held on 10 December 2023.

La Salle College (LSC; Chinese: 喇沙書院; Jyutping: laa3 saa1 syu1 jyun2) is a boys' secondary school located in Kowloon City District, Hong Kong. It was established in 1932 by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, a Catholic religious teaching order founded by St John Baptist de La Salle. Regarded as one of Hong Kong's more prestigious institutions, the school often produces top-scorers in public examinations. The school uses English as the medium of instruction.

喇沙利道（英語：La Salle Road）是香港九龍九龍城區九龍仔的道路之一，北接禧福道（近浸會大學道），南連太子道西，貫通以私人別墅為主的九龍仔豪宅區。此路南端有一小段掘頭路。

蘭開夏道（英語：Lancashire Road）位於香港九龍仔，東接衙前圍道與喇沙利道交界，西接窩打老道及雅息士道交界。自牛津道起為單程向西道路，而牛津道至喇沙利道一段為雙程道路。蘭開夏道以英國蘭開夏郡命名。

Lo Lung Hang (Chinese: 老龍坑; Jyutping: lou5lung4 haang1; lit. 'Old Dragon Gully') is a valley northwest of Hung Hom, Kowloon City District, Hong Kong. The place is west of Hok Yuen and it is where the Valley Road Estate was once located. The valley is less visible now, but there is still a street remaining called Lo Lung Hang Street, near Hung Hom MTR station. A railway station named Ho Man Tin station has been built in Lo Lung Hang as part of the Sha Tin to Central Link and Kwun Tong line Extension.

Royal Air Force Kai Tak or more commonly RAF Kai Tak is a former Royal Air Force station situated in Hong Kong, at Kai Tak Airport, Kowloon. It was established by the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1927 and used for seaplanes. The RAF flight operated a few land based aircraft as well as having spare aircraft for naval units.

Lung Cheung Road (Chinese: 龍翔道) is a major road in New Kowloon, Hong Kong. It forms part of Route 7 linking Kwun Tong Road at Ngau Chi Wan and Ching Cheung Road near Tai Wo Ping. It is a dual 3-lane carriageway running in the east-west direction for its entire length.

St. Teresa's School Kowloon (STS, Chinese: 九龍聖德肋撒英文學校) was a Roman Catholic co-educational day school, with primary and kindergarten sections, on Prince Edward Road in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was known for its high academic standard and strict school discipline.

Tai Wan Road (traditional Chinese: 大環道; simplified Chinese: 大环道; pinyin: Dàhuán Dào; Cantonese Yale: daai6 waan4 dou6) is a road in Tai Wan, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It starts from Ma Tau Wai Road to Dyer Avenue.

On 30 June 1967, Thai Airways International Flight 601, a Sud Aviation Caravelle III crashed into the sea on landing at the former Kai Tak Airport, Hong Kong, in a typhoon. The aircraft was on a flight from Haneda Airport in Japan to Don Mueang Airport in Thailand. The two stopovers were at Songshan Airport in Taiwan and Kai Tak Airport in British Hong Kong.

To Kwa Wan Road (Chinese: 土瓜灣道) is a major thoroughfare in To Kwa Wan, Kowloon, Hong Kong, connecting To Kwa Wan with Ma Tau Kok.

The Kowloon Peninsula is a peninsula that forms the southern part of the main landmass in the territory of Hong Kong, alongside Victoria Harbour and facing toward Hong Kong Island. The Kowloon Peninsula and Ngong Shuen Chau comprises the Old Kowloon. The Old Kowloon and the area of New Kowloon are collectively known as Kowloon.

East Kowloon Corridor (Chinese: 東九龍走廊; aka East Kowloon Way) is a motorway in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Part of Route 5, it is a dual two-lane carriageway viaduct running from the western exit of Kai Tak Tunnel near Sung Wong Toi Road to its ramp on Chatham Road North between Lo Lung Hang Hill and the western side of Hung Hom, to the northnortheast of Fat Kwong Street Flyover.

Valley Road Estate (Chinese: 山谷道邨) was a public housing estate in Valley Road, Lo Lung Hang, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was originally a squatter area, but was destroyed by fire in 1961. In 1962, the British Hong Kong Government constructed a total of 16 blocks (Block 1 to 12, Block 14 to 17), namely the Valley Road Government Low Cost Housing Estate (山谷道政府廉租屋邨), on the site. In 1973, the estate was renamed Valley Road Estate. It was demolished between 2001 and 2002.

衙前圍道（英語：Nga Tsin Wai Road）是香港九龍九龍城區的一條道路，連接九龍仔及九龍城。道路雙程行車，西接蘭開夏道，東接啟德道及沙浦道，貫穿整個九龍城，為九龍城內最主要道路，跟區內其他道路成魚骨狀相連，例如侯王道、聯合道等。在啟德機場未關閉前，該機場的13跑道的飛機進場導航燈建於衙前圍道一座樓宇的天台上，該座樓宇曾開設漢寶集團的酒樓。

Ma Tau Wai Road (Chinese: 馬頭圍道) is a main road in Kowloon City District, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Ngau Chi Wan (Chinese: 牛池灣) was a bay beneath Hammer Hill in New Kowloon, Hong Kong. It now refers to an area where Choi Hung Estate is situated.

The Hong Kong Housing Authority Exhibition Centre (Chinese: 香港房屋委員會展覽中心) is managed by Hong Kong Housing Authority. It is located on the 4/F of Block 3, Hong Kong Housing Authority Headquarters, Ho Man Tin. Permanently closed in March, 2022.

The Kowloon Tsai Swimming Pool (Chinese: 九龍仔游泳池) was the first public swimming pool complex in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Since the old Victoria Park Swimming Pool was demolished in 2014, it stands as the oldest existing public swimming pool in Hong Kong.

Times College is a private full-time secondary school in Hong Kong.

San Shan Interchange (Chinese: 新山交匯處) is a highway interchange located in Kowloon City District, Hong Kong, connecting the western exit of the Kai Tak Tunnel, San Shan Road, Kowloon City Road, and the East Kowloon Corridor viaduct.

41 Cumberland Road is the address of Bruce Lee's former home in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, where he spent his last year with his family. The place was affectionately known as "the Crane's Nest".

Argyle Street Camp was a Japanese World War II prisoner-of-war camp in Kowloon, Hong Kong, which primarily held officer prisoners.

Argyle Street (Chinese: 亞皆老街) is a four-lane dual-way thoroughfare in Kowloon, Hong Kong, connecting the districts of Mong Kok, Ho Man Tin, Ma Tau Wai and Kowloon City. It runs on an east-west alignment starting at its intersection with Cherry Street, Ferry Street and Tong Mi Road in the west, and ending near the former Kai Tak Airport in the east. Due to the street's proximity with the latter, a variety of aircraft could be seen from this street and thus photographers (and movie makers) seized the opportunity to capture landing aircraft.

CAAC Flight 301, a Hawker Siddeley Trident operated by CAAC Guangzhou Regional Administration from Guangzhou Baiyun to Hong Kong Kai Tak, ran off the runway in Hong Kong on 31 August 1988 after clipping approach lights. Six crew members and one passenger perished in the accident. The crash shut down Kai Tak Airport for more than six hours after the accident.

China Airlines Flight 605 was a daily non-stop flight departing from Taipei, Taiwan to Hong Kong, then a British colony. On 4 November 1993, the aircraft operating the flight went off the runway when attempting to land during a storm. It was the first hull loss of a Boeing 747-400.

Sear Rogers International School (SRIS; Chinese: 弘爵國際學校) is a co-educational international secondary private school. Currently serving around 100 students in Tsuen Wan, it is one of the oldest schools in Hong Kong. Its students take the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) followed by the GCE A/AS-Level.

Victory Avenue (Chinese: 勝利道) is a road in Mong Kok, Kowloon. It begins at Argyle Street, and ends at Waterloo Road. There are a number of pet shops along the road, as well as restaurants due to the large number of schools around the area.

「光復紅土，還我靜土」817遊行是指在2019年8月17日，於香港九龍九龍城區舉行的遊行示威活動。是次遊行旨在抗議過量遊客到紅磡觀光使居民日常生活受影響與譴責時任當區區議員無能，無法改善區內旅遊業引起的問題。遊行由土瓜灣海心公園開始並以紅磡黃埔站A出口旁作終點。

Videotage (Chinese: 錄映太奇) is a Hong Kong–based non-profit art organisation dedicated to nurturing emerging media artists and the development of the local new media art community.

Airside (stylized as AIRSIDE) is a skyscraper developed by Nan Fung Group (Nan Fung) in Hong Kong. Located in the Kai Tak neighbourhood in Kowloon, Airside forms part of the Kai Tak Development on the former area of Kai Tak Airport. The skyscraper is 207 m tall and was opened on 28 September 2023 including an entrance into Kai Tak station via Entrance C. It is a mixed-use building that includes office and commercial space. The lower floors of the building comprise a 700,000 sq. ft. shopping mall, simply known as Airside. The mall contains a cinema and an indoor surfing venue.

The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (commonly known as the Hong Kong Government or HKSAR Government) is the executive authorities of Hong Kong. It was established on 1 July 1997, following the handover of Hong Kong.

何文田游泳池（英語：Ho Man Tin Swimming Pool）是香港九龍一個公眾游泳池，位於何文田忠義街1號何文田康樂中心內，於2000年5月建成，是九龍城區三個公眾泳池之一。游泳池由康樂及文化事務署管理，設有兩個室內及兩個室外游泳池。

德朗邨（英語：Tak Long Estate）是香港房屋委員會轄下的公共屋邨，位於九龍啟德承啟道28號，佔地5.71公頃，合共8座40層高及1座35層高的非標準設計大廈，合共8,164個單位。

喜築（93 Pau Chung Street），是位於香港九龍馬頭涌炮仗街及新山道的單幢住宅，樓高共28層（包括地庫），由市區重建局及麗新集團發展，由發展商旗下的高樂服務管理，於2018年12月入伙。

九龍塘（沙福道）公共運輸交匯處（英文：Kowloon Tong (Suffolk Road) Public Transport Interchange）是香港的一個公共運輸交匯處，位於九龍九龍塘教育局九龍塘教育服務中心地面，原英軍聖佐治學校處，於沙福道、多福道、添福道及羅福道中間。交匯處於2006年11月4日啟用，將原於沙福道的巴士及小巴總站遷移至該處，惟往沙田第一城的非專利巴士(已取消) 卻沒有遷移。

啟德郵輪碼頭巴士總站（Kai Tak Cruise Terminal），位於九龍城區啟德發展區承豐道33號，啟德郵輪碼頭地下（即原啟德機場跑道盡頭），是一個室內巴士及小巴總站。

香港浸會大學傳理學院（英語：School of Communication, Hong Kong Baptist University）是香港浸會大學其中一個學院。前身為傳理學系，在1968年成立。傳理學系的創系系主任是余也魯教授。現任院長是黃煜教授。傳理學院下設傳播系、互動媒體系及新聞系。 學院曾在2021年9月1日更名為傳理與影視學院，因電影學院於2022年7月1日被劃歸新成立的創意藝術學院，因此在當天起重新易名為傳理學院。

紅磡海濱花園（英語：Hung Hom Promenade），又稱紅磡海濱長廊，是香港的一個海濱公園，位於九龍紅磡灣海旁，可看到維多利亞港海景。公園全長約250米，東至紅磡碼頭並與紅磡海濱長堤連接，西至建灣街並與尖沙咀海濱花園延伸部份連接。公園現時由香港康樂及文化事務署管理。

紅磡市政大廈（英語：Hung Hom Municipal Services Building）是香港九龍紅磡一座多用途的市政大樓，位於大環馬頭圍道11號，於1996年4月15日啟用，為區內市民提供文娛康樂的設施。大廈地下及1樓為紅磡街市，2樓是紅磡街市熟食中心， 3至5樓為紅磡市政大廈體育館，6樓為紅磡公共圖書館。

土瓜灣市政大廈暨政府合署（英語：Tokwawan Market and Government Offices）是香港一幢集市政大廈與政府合署於一身的建築物，在1984年7月20日落成啟用，位於香港九龍九龍城區土瓜灣馬頭圍道165號。

上帝古廟遺址位於香港九龍露明道公園裡，原建於歷史悠久的馬頭圍（舊稱：古瑾圍）旁。現僅存石門對聯：「真義著千秋，煌煌氣象；武功超萬古，赫赫聲靈。」及一塊香港政府邀饒宗頤在1962年9月1日（星期六）豎立的紀念碑文。

尚御（英語：Meridian Hill），為九龍西九龍塘的一個小型私人高尚住宅屋苑，位於廣播道及龍翔道，前身為亞洲電視廣播道總台地皮，共設3座物業，每座樓高8層及2層地庫，由長江實業發展（以奇創有限公司為名），而業權則由美國退休基金持有，仲量聯行為代表，已於2011年7月入伙。

煥然壹居（英語：De Novo）為香港市區重建局首個自行發展的住宅項目，位於香港九龍九龍城啟德發展區沐翠街3號，毗鄰啟朗苑、啟德一號及德朗邨，有3幢高座（H1、H2及H3）及1幢低座（L1）的住宅樓宇，以私人樓宇標準興建，合共提供約484個單位，單位實用面積約332至675平方呎不等，由呂元祥建築師事務所設計，總承建商為寶登建築，整個項目發展成本約為24億港元。項目於2016年6月落成，2016年首批樓換樓重建戶率先入伙。

天保民學校（英語：Mary Rose School），是香港的一所特殊學校，位於九龍九龍塘聯福道11號。

愛晨徑（英語：Oi Sen Path）是香港九龍中部的一條行人徑，位於紅磡以北，何文田以南，是十二號山的南坡，靠近港鐵東鐵綫路軌和愛民邨。北端連接治民街；南端連接支路較多，可經行人天橋往香港理工大學育才道或經行人隧道往紅磡溫思勞街。此外，近溫思勞街處可抄小徑至忠孝街。

東方紗廠（英語：Eastern Cotton Mills）位於香港九龍城區馬頭角木廠街7號的工業大廈，在1954年興建，1981年廠房結業後改為倉庫用途。廠房具1950年代實用主義建築風格，2010年11月10日獲古物諮詢委員會列為香港三級歷史建築。

保良局陳維周夫人紀念學校（英語：Po Leung Kuk Madam Chan Wai Chow Memorial School）為一所位於香港九龍城區的私立小學，前身為2000年創辦的保良局賈梅士學校，2012年獲教育局批准由「陳氏教育機構」命名捐助，以粵語和英語為主要教學語言，為移居香港不足一年的華語及非華語適齡兒童提供為期六個月的適應課程，稱爲「新來港學童啟動課程」。

中華基督教會基道中學（英語：CCC Kei To Secondary School），為香港九龍城區一所津貼中學，於1967年以中華基督教會公理書院之名在港島大坑創立，2003年遷入現址及改為現名。

拔萃小學（英語：Diocesan Preparatory School），俗稱舊小拔，位於香港九龍九龍塘志士達道1號，於1950年創立，是香港聖公會轄下資助男女小學。

順德聯誼總會胡兆熾中學（英語：Shun Tak Fraternal Association Seaward Woo College）於1975年創校，位於香港九龍何文田 ，為順德聯誼總會所創立的第一間政府資助的全日制男女中學。學校佔地5000平方米。現任校長為趙家豪，副校長為、梁振輝和潘美美。校舍建有標準課室24間，及特別室12間，供各科同學使用。此外尚有圖書館、禮堂、操場及有蓋操場等。另外2008年度該校進行改善工程以擴展校舍及增加設備，務求提高教育的質素。

九龍小學（英語：Kowloon Junior School）是英基學校協會轄下的小學，學校有超过110年歷史，共有900名學生。

香港兆基創意書院（英語：HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity）是香港一間直資學校，而其簡稱為HKSC或創意書院，也是香港第一所以研習藝術、設计和文化為主的中學，位於九龍城區樂富以南的九龍仔，由李兆基基金會贊助及香港當代文化中心主辦，校監為香港當代文化中心創辦人黃英琦。

老龍坑山（英語：Lo Lung Hang Hill），是指位於老龍坑西面，佛光街以東的人工斜坡上，現今東何文田配水庫向南延伸至漆咸道北一帶的高地，建有東何文田一號休憩處，山頂建有標高柱，高約海拔88米。
