Castle Nugent National Historic Site is a proposed addition to the National Park System of the United States on the southern coast of St. Croix, Virgin Islands. If established, the site would preserve a Caribbean cultural landscape that spans more than 300 years of agricultural use, significant archeological resources, mangrove forests, endangered sea turtle nesting beaches, an extensive barrier coral reef system, and other outstanding natural features. In order to maintain an important feature of the cultural landscape of the historic site, the Secretary of the Interior would be authorized to lease to the University of the Virgin Islands certain lands within the boundary of the historic site for the purpose of continuing the university's operation breeding Senepol cattle. The enabling legislation passed the House of Representatives on January 27, 2010.

Catherineberg Sugar Mill Ruins is an historic site located in the Virgin Islands National Park, east of Cruz Bay on Saint John, U.S. Virgin Islands. The ruins are an example of an 18th-century sugar and rum factory.

The Danish West Indies (Danish: Dansk Vestindien) or Danish Virgin Islands (Danish: Danske Jomfruøer) or Danish Antilles were a Danish colony in the Caribbean, consisting of the islands of Saint Thomas with 32 square miles (83 km²); Saint John (Danish: St. Jan) with 19 square miles (49 km²); and Saint Croix with 84 square miles (220 km²). The islands have belonged to the United States as the Virgin Islands since they were purchased in 1917. Water Island was part of the Danish West Indies until 1905, when the Danish state sold it to the East Asiatic Company, a private shipping company.

Haypenny Bay is nearly a mile long stretch of beach located directly south of Christiansted in Company Quarter on the southeastern shore of St Croix United States Virgin Islands. Haypenny Bay is also referred to as Ha'Penny Beach and Halfpenny Beach. The long stretch of empty beach serves not only as shoreline for swimmers and sunbathers but also as a racetrack for beach relays. This lack of commercialization aids in local environmental education and awareness efforts.

Visitors can park at Annaberg and hike the Leinster Bay trail to access the bay, which is a popular snorkeling spot. Waterlemon Cay is a small cay in Leinster Bay. The ruins of the plantation's estate house can be reached by continuing past the bay and up the Johnny Horn Trail.

At a capacity of about 500,000 barrels per day (79,000 m³/d), in 2010 the refinery was among the 10 largest in the world.

The Fountain Valley massacre was a mass shooting that occurred on the afternoon of 6 September 1972 at the Fountain Valley Golf Course in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. The incident left eight resort employees and tourists dead. Another eight were either shot at or wounded.

The Cathedral Church of All Saints is an Episcopal cathedral in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of the Virgin Islands and it is located in the City of Charlotte Amalie. The church was built in 1848 in celebration of the end of slavery. The structure was constructed from stone that was quarried on the island. The gothic arched window frames are lined with yellow brick that was used as ballast aboard ships. The bricks were left by merchants on the waterfront to make room on their boats for molasses, sugar, mahogany and rum for their return voyage.

Point Udall is at the east end of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is the easternmost point (by travel, not longitude) of the United States including insular areas. Estate Little Princess is a historic plantation site located northwest of Christiansted in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. It was first owned by governor Frederik Moth in 1738 and rests on 25 acres of land (from the original 200 acres). As of 2011 the estate is under ownership of The Nature Conservancy and serves as headquarters for the Eastern Caribbean/Virgin Islands programs. The property has been turned into a nature preserve and historical tours are given as well. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 9, 1980.

There have been numerous excavations in an area known as the Tutu Archaeological Village Site, which has discovered numerous artifacts from the native Arawak people who inhabited the area in the pre-Columbian era.

Mary Point is an uninhabited peninsula on the island of Saint John in the United States Virgin Islands. There are no roads or trails and steep cliffs prevent access from the water. Although Mary Point once housed a small sugar cane plantation, the area is now overgrown with thick forest. The foundation and crumbling walls of Mary Point Estate can be seen from the Francis Bay trail. It is part of Virgin Islands National Park. Mary Creek, the shallow bay on the east side, is a popular spot for fly fishing and kitesurfing.

The Danish West India and Guinea Company Warehouse is a historic building located at Church and Company Streets in Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands. Built in 1749 for the Danish West India and Guinea Company, the building served as the center of Danish commerce on Saint Croix during the 18th and early 19th centuries. At the time, the U.S. Virgin Islands were known as the Danish West Indies, and Saint Croix had the most successful economy of the three islands. The building is representative of Danish colonial architecture and features stucco walls made of yellow brick imported from Denmark, an inner courtyard, and several cisterns. After its use as a warehouse ended in the 19th century, the building served as a telegraph office; it became a post office and customs house after the United States purchased the islands in 1917.

East End is an administrative subdistrict of the island of St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. The largest community is Red Hook, while smaller communities include Benner, Nazareth, Nadir, Frydendal, and Smith Bay. The subdistrict includes the offshore islands of Great Saint James, Little Saint James, Bovoni Cay, Patricia Cay, Cas Cay, Rotto Cay, Thatch Cay, Shark Island, and Dog Island.

Southside is a census subdistrict (CSD) on Saint Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands. The CSD is bordering Charlotte Amalie from Havensight in the west, Nordside- and the Tutu subdistricts to the north, and the East End subdistrict to the east. The 2010 U.S. Census showed a population of 5,411 people, which is a decrease of 56 people as compared to the 2000 U.S. Census of 5,467. The 1733 slave insurrection on St. John (Danish: Slaveoprøret på Sankt Jan) or the Slave Uprising of 1733, was a slave insurrection started on Sankt Jan in the Danish West Indies (now St. John, United States Virgin Islands) on November 23, 1733, when 150 African slaves from Akwamu, in present-day Ghana, revolted against the owners and managers of the island's plantations. Led by Breffu, an enslaved woman from Ghana, and lasting several months into August 1734, the slave rebellion was one of the earliest and longest slave revolts in the Americas. The Akwamu slaves captured the fort in Coral Bay and took control of most of the island. They intended to resume crop production under their control.

The National Capital Area Council (NCAC) is a local council of the Boy Scouts of America within the Northeast Region that serves the Washington metropolitan area, including Washington, D.C., portions of Maryland and Virginia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. It is rated as a "Class 100" council by the National Council (headquarters office), which denotes that the NCAC is among the very largest in the country. The council is divided into 21 districts serving ten counties in Northern Virginia, six counties in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the US Virgin Islands, and BSA units throughout the Americas. The council has a 5 to 2 ratio of youth members to adult leaders, which is among the highest of all the councils. The youth retention rate is currently 70% which was affected by COVID-19.
