Vazhappally Maha Siva Temple is a Hindu temple located in Vazhappally near Changanassery in Kottayam district in the Indian state of Kerala. കേരളത്തിന്റെ വ്യാവസായിക തലസ്ഥാനമായ എറണാകുളം നഗരമദ്ധ്യത്തിൽ, പടിഞ്ഞാറുഭാഗത്തുള്ള കൊച്ചി കായലിലേക്ക് ദർശനം ചെയ്തു സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഒരു മഹാദേവ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് എറണാകുളം ശിവക്ഷേത്രം. എറണാകുളം നഗരത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ഇത്. ഹൈന്ദവ, ശൈവ വിശ്വാസപ്രകാരം പരമശിവനാണ്‌ മുഖ്യ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. കിരാതമൂർത്തിയായും പാർവ്വതീസമേതനായും രണ്ടുരൂപങ്ങളിൽ ഇവിടെ ശിവന് പ്രതിഷ്ഠകളുണ്ട്. എറണാകുളത്തപ്പൻ എന്ന്‌ ഭഗവാൻ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. എറണാകുളം നഗരത്തിന്റെ കുലദൈവം കൂടിയാണ് എറണാകുളത്തപ്പൻ എന്ന്‌ വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. കൂടാതെ ഉപദേവതകളായി ഗണപതി, സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ, അയ്യപ്പൻ, നാഗദൈവങ്ങൾ എന്നിവർക്കും സന്നിധികളുണ്ട്. പരശുരാമപ്രതിഷ്ഠിതനായ കേരളത്തിലെ നൂറ്റെട്ട് ശിവാലയങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണിത്. എറണാകുളം ക്ഷേത്രം വാസ്തവത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളടങ്ങിയ ഒരു വലിയ ക്ഷേത്രസമുച്ചയമാണ്. ഈ ശിവക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്‌ സമീപം കന്നഡശൈലിയിലുള്ള ഹനുമാൻ ക്ഷേത്രവും തമിഴ് ശൈലിയിലുള്ള സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യക്ഷേത്രവും സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. എങ്കിലും മൂന്ന് ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളും സ്വതന്ത്രമായിത്തന്നെ നിലനിന്നുപോരുന്നു. ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ മൂന്ന് സംസ്കാരങ്ങളെ ഒരുമിച്ച് കാണാൻ കഴിയുന്നു എന്ന പ്രത്യേകതയും ഇതുവഴി ലഭിയ്ക്കുന്നു. കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ശിവക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ വരുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രമാണിത്. പണ്ട് ക്ഷേത്രം ചേരാനെല്ലൂർ കർത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ വകയായിരുന്നു. കർത്താക്കന്മാരും കൊച്ചി രാജാക്കന്മാരുമാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ നിർമ്മാണപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. മകരമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവാതിര നാളിൽ ആറാട്ടായി എട്ടുദിവസത്തെ കൊടിയേറ്റുത്സവം, കുംഭമാസത്തിലെ ശിവരാത്രി, ധനുമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവാതിര എന്നിവയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആണ്ടുവിശേഷങ്ങൾ. കൊച്ചിൻ ദേവസ്വം ബോർഡിന്റെ കീഴിലാണ് ഇന്ന് ക്ഷേത്രഭരണം.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയിൽ വാഴപ്പള്ളിയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതന ഭദ്രകാളിക്ഷേത്രമാണ് കൽക്കുളത്തുകാവ് ഭഗവതിക്ഷേത്രം. തെക്കുംകൂർ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്താണ് പത്തില്ലത്തിൽ പോറ്റിമാരുടെ ഭരണാധികാരത്തിൽ ക്ഷേത്ര നിർമ്മാണം നടത്തി പ്രതിഷ്ഠ നടന്നത്. പന്ത്രണ്ടു വർഷങ്ങളിൽ ഒരിക്കൽ മാത്രം നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന മുടിയെടുപ്പ് എന്ന വിശേഷാൽ പൂജ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് പ്രശസ്തിയേറ്റുന്നു. വാഴപ്പള്ളി ശ്രീ മഹാദേവക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പശ്ചിമഗോപുരത്തിനു പടിഞ്ഞാറു വശത്തായാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. കേരളത്തിലെ ഭദ്രകാളിക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു പ്രാഥമ്യവും പ്രാധാന്യവും ഉള്ളക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നുകൂടിയാണീ ക്ഷേത്രം.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന ശിവക്ഷേത്രമാണ് പുലിയന്നൂർ മഹാദേവക്ഷേത്രം. പാലായിൽ നിന്നും 3 കി.മീ. പടിഞ്ഞാറു മാറി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം 'ചെറുതിൽ വലുത്' എന്ന പേരിലാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. കൊടിയേറ്റോടെ ഉത്സവം ആരംഭിച്ച് ശിവരാത്രി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്ന കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ പ്രധാന ക്ഷേത്രമാണിത്. ഊരാണ്മ ഭരണസമിതിയുടെ അധീനതയിലാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം.ശിവരാത്രിയോടനുബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള പുലിയന്നൂർ കാവടി പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്.ഗണപതി,ശാസ്താവ്,യക്ഷിയമ്മ,യോഗീശ്വരൻ,സർപ്പങ്ങൾ,ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ,ദേവി എന്നീ ഉപദേവത മൂർത്തികളും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലുണ്ട്.

കേരളത്തിൽ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയിൽ വാഴപ്പള്ളിയിൽ തിരുവെങ്കിടപുരം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനു തെക്കുഭാഗത്തു സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന അതിപുരാതനവും ചരിത്രപ്രസിദ്ധവുമായ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് വാഴപ്പള്ളി വായ്പൂര് കളരി ശ്രീ മഹാശിവപാർവതി ക്ഷേത്രം. പരമാത്മാവായ "മഹാദേവനും" ആദിശക്തിയായ "പാർവതീദേവിയുമാണ്" പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ.

കേരളത്തിൽ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയ്ക്കടുത്ത് വാഴപ്പള്ളി വടക്കേക്കരയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതന അയ്യപ്പക്ഷേത്രമാണ് വേരൂർ ശ്രീ ധർമ്മശാസ്താക്ഷേത്രം. പതിനഞ്ചാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലാണ് ക്ഷേത്ര നിർമ്മിതി നടന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്. തെക്കുകൂർ രാജാക്കന്മാരാണ് ക്ഷേത്ര നിർമ്മാണം നടത്തിയത് എന്നു കരുതുന്നു. വേരൂരിൽ ധർമ്മശാസ്താവിന്റെ (അയ്യപ്പൻ) സ്വയംഭൂവായ വിഗ്രഹ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയാണ് ഉള്ളത്. ശാസ്താവിനു സ്വയംഭൂ പ്രതിഷ്ഠകൾ അപൂർവ്വമാണ്. കിഴക്കു ദർശനമാണ് പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. സ്വയംഭൂപ്രതിഷ്ഠ ആദ്യമായി കണ്ട വേടനേയും വേടത്തിയേയും ക്ഷേത്ര മതിലകത്തോട് ചേർന്ന് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവെന്നുള്ളതും ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രത്യേകതകളിലൊന്നാണ് .

കേരളത്തിലെ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ പുതുപ്പള്ളിയ്ക്കടുത്ത് വെന്നിമലയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന അതിപുരാതനമായ ഒരു ഹൈന്ദവക്ഷേത്രമാണ് വെന്നിമല ശ്രീരാമലക്ഷ്മണക്ഷേത്രം. ചതുർബാഹുവായ മഹാവിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ശിലാവിഗ്രഹത്തിൽ ശ്രീരാമനും ലക്ഷ്മണനും ഒന്നിച്ച് സാന്നിദ്ധ്യമരുളുന്ന അപൂർവ്വക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ഇവിടം. വിശ്വ ഹിന്ദു പരിഷത്തിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു കമ്മിറ്റിയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം നോക്കിനടത്തുന്നത്. ഇവിടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ നടത്തിയത് ചേരമാൻ പെരുമാളാണെന്ന് വിശ്വസിയ്ക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ശ്രീരാമലക്ഷ്മണന്മാർക്കൊപ്പം ഹനുമാനും അദൃശ്യനായി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ മരുവുന്നു. കൂടാതെ ഗണപതി, ശിവൻ, ശാസ്താവ്, ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ, ഭഗവതി, സർപ്പദൈവങ്ങൾ, ബ്രഹ്മരക്ഷസ്സ്, യക്ഷിയമ്മ എന്നിവരും ഉപദേവതകളായുണ്ട്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിയിൽ മഞ്ചാടിക്കരയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതന ദേവീക്ഷേത്രമാണ് മഞ്ചാടിക്കരക്കാവിൽ രാജരാജേശ്വരി ക്ഷേത്രം അഥവാ മഞ്ചാടിക്കര ശ്രീ രാജരാജേശ്വരി ക്ഷേത്രം. വാഴപ്പള്ളി തെക്കുംഭാഗത്തുള്ള ഭദ്രകാളീ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് പിന്നീട് പുനഃപ്രതിഷ്ഠ നടത്തി രാജരാജേശ്വരീ ക്ഷേത്രമാക്കി മാറ്റിയത്. ഹൈന്ദവ, ശാക്തേയ വിശ്വാസപ്രകാരം ഭദ്രകാളി, മഹാലക്ഷ്മി, മഹാസരസ്വതി, പാർവതി, ദുർഗ്ഗ എന്നി പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട അഞ്ചു ഭാവങ്ങൾ ഉള്ള സാക്ഷാൽ ആദിപരാശക്തി തന്നെയാണ് ശ്രീ രാജരാജേശ്വരി എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. (അഞ്ച് ഭാവങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളതിനാൽ പഞ്ചദുർഗ്ഗ എന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു). വാഴപ്പള്ളി ശിവക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഒരു കിലോമീറ്റർ തെക്കുമാറി മഞ്ചാടിക്കര റോഡിൽ ഈ ഭഗവതി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. അതിനാൽ സ്ഥലനാമം കൂടി ചേർത്ത് ക്ഷേത്രം അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ചോറ്റാനിക്കര ഭഗവതിക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് തുല്യമാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ എന്ന്‌ വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ചോറ്റാനിക്കര ശ്രീ ഭഗവതിക്ഷേത്രം രാജരാജേശ്വരി ഭാവത്തിൽ ആദിപരാശക്തിയെ ആരാധിക്കുന്ന മറ്റൊരു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. ആഴ്ചയിലെ ചൊവ്വ, വെള്ളി ദിവസങ്ങൾ, മാസത്തിലെ ഒന്നാം തീയതി എന്നിവ പ്രധാനം. നവരാത്രി, വിദ്യാരംഭം, തൃക്കാർത്തിക, ദീപാവലി തുടങ്ങിയവ വിശേഷ ദിവസങ്ങൾ.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി താലൂക്കിൽ കോട്ടമുറിക്കരയിൽ മടുക്കത്താനത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ശിവക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ശ്രീ നന്ദനാർ ശിവകോവിൽ. ഇവിടുത്തെ ശിവ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ പൂർണകായ പ്രതിമയാണ് . കേരളത്തിൽ വളരെ ചുരുക്കം ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ മാത്രമേ ഇത്തരത്തിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ഉള്ളൂ .

അതുല്യമായ പുണ്യ വിഗ്രഹവും മേൽക്കൂരയില്ലാത്ത ശ്രീകോവിലിൻറെ പ്രത്യേകതയും കൊണ്ട് പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് ഞരളപ്പുഴ ശ്രീ ധർമശാസ്താ ശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം.കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ വയലാ പുത്തനങ്ങാടിയിൽ നിന്നും 100 മീറ്റർ ദൂരത്തിലാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ (കേരളം, ഇന്ത്യ) ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി നഗരത്തിൽ പുഴവാതിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന പുരാതനവും ചരിത്രപ്രസിദ്ധവുമായ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് പുഴവാത് ശ്രീ വൈകുണ്ഠേശ്വര സന്താനഗോപാലമൂർത്തി ക്ഷേത്രം ആയില്യം തിരുനാൾ ഗൗരി ലക്ഷ്മി ബായി തിരുവിതാംകൂറിന്റെ മഹാറാണിയായിരിക്കുന്ന കാലത്തണ (ഭരണകാലം 1811-1815) ക്ഷേത്രനിർമ്മാണം നടത്തിയത്‌. മഹാറാണി ആയില്യം തിരുനാൾ ഗൌരി ലക്ഷ്മി ബായി ഒരു ആൺകുഞ്ഞിനു ജന്മം നൽകാനായി ഭർത്താവ് രാജരാജ വർമ്മ വലിയ കോയിത്തമ്പുരാൻ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി ലക്ഷ്മിപുരം കൊട്ടാരത്തിന്റെ അടുത്ത് പണിതുയർത്തിയ ക്ഷേത്രമാണിത്. അതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ജനിച്ച പുത്രനാണ് വിശ്വപ്രസിദ്ധനായ തിരുവിതാംകൂർ മഹാരാജാവ്‌ സ്വാതിതിരുനാൾ.. ഇതര ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് വളരെ വ്യത്യസ്തമായ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെത്. കൈകളിൽ കുഞ്ഞിനെയെടുത്ത് ശംഖു-ചക്രധാരിയായ മഹാവിഷ്ണുവിനെ സന്താനഗോപാലമൂർത്തി സങ്കല്പത്തിൽ ഇവിടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. കുട്ടികളില്ലാത്ത ദമ്പതികൾ ഇവിടെ വന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചാൽ സന്താന സൌഭാഗ്യം ലഭിക്കും എന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം.

ശ്രീ ബാലഭദ്രയുടെ അപൂർവ്വം ചില ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് പൂങ്കാവിൽ ശ്രീ ബാലഭദ്ര ക്ഷേത്രം. കേരളത്തിലെ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ കടുത്തുരുത്തി ഗ്രാമ പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ എഴുമാന്തുരുത്ത് ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ ആണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്.

കേരളത്തിൽ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി വാഴപ്പള്ളിയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് വാഴപ്പള്ളി അമ്മൻകോവിൽ അന്നപൂർണ്ണേശ്വരിക്ഷേത്രം. വാഴപ്പള്ളി ശിവക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഏകദേശം ഒരു കിലോമീറ്റർ ദൂരെയാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ടകൾ പാർവ്വതി ദേവിയുടെ അവതാര ഭാവങ്ങളായ ശ്രീ മധുരൈമീനാക്ഷിയും ശ്രീ അന്നപൂർണേശ്വരിയും ആകുന്നു.

കേരളത്തിൽ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി വാഴപ്പള്ളിയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന വനദുർഗ്ഗക്ഷേത്രമാണ് വാഴപ്പള്ളി ചങ്ങഴിമുറ്റത്ത് ഭഗവതിക്ഷേത്രം. വാഴപ്പള്ളി ശിവക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഏകദേശം അര കിലോമീറ്റർ പടിഞ്ഞാറുമാറി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കോട്ടയം താലൂക്കിൽ ഏറ്റുമാനൂർ ബ്ളോക്ക് പരിധിയിലാണ് അതിരമ്പുഴ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് .

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കോട്ടയം താലൂക്കിൽ പള്ളം ബ്ളോക്കിൽ അയർകുന്നം, മണർകാട് വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന 30.7 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് അയർകുന്നം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. ഈ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് ഒരു സ്പെഷ്യൽ ഗ്രേഡ് പഞ്ചായത്താണ്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ വൈക്കം താലൂക്കിൽ വൈക്കം ബ്ളോക്കിൽ വടക്കേമുറി, നടുവില വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 20.15 വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഉദയനാപുരം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. പട്ടികജാതിയിൽപ്പെട്ട വനിതകൾക്കായി പ്രസിഡന്റ് സ്ഥാനം സംവരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ള അപൂർവ്വം പഞ്ചായത്തുകളിൽ ഉദയനാപുരവും പെടുന്നു. വടക്കേമുറി, നടുവിലെ എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകളിൽ കയറിയിറങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്ന ഈ പഞ്ചായത്ത് ആദ്യമായി രൂപം കൊണ്ടത് 1953 ആഗസ്റ്റ് 15-നാണ്. അന്ന് എട്ടു വാർഡുകളും 9 സീറ്റുമുള്ള പഞ്ചായത്ത് പ്രവർത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചത് പിതൃകുന്നം ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് തെക്ക് വശമുള്ള വിദ്വാൻ എ.കെ പത്മനാഭപിള്ളയുടെ വാടകച്ചാവടിയിലാണ്. പിന്നീടാണ് ഇത്തിപ്പുഴയിലുള്ള എസ്.എൻ.ഡി.പി യോഗം വക കെട്ടിടത്തിലേക്ക് ഓഫീസിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനം മാറ്റിയത്. ഉള്ളാടപ്പള്ളീൽ എം.പവിത്രനായിരുന്നു ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രസിഡന്റ്. ചരിത്ര പ്രധാനമായ വൈക്കം പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ വടക്കും കിഴക്കുമായി കിടക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഗ്രാമപ്രദേശമാണ് ഉദയനാപുരം.ഇപ്പോൾ വല്ലകത്താണ് പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ ഓഫീസ് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. വടക്ക് ഇത്തിപ്പുഴയാറും പടിഞ്ഞാറ് വേമ്പനാട് കായലും തെക്ക് വൈക്കം നഗരസഭയും കിഴക്ക് തലയോലപ്പറമ്പ് പഞ്ചായത്തും ആണ് അതിരുകൾ

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ പാമ്പാടി ബ്ളോക്കിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന പഞ്ചായത്താണ് എലിക്കുളം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. ഇതിൽ ഇളങ്ങുളം, എലിക്കുളം എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ വിസ്തീർണം 40.14 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ ആണ്. 2001 ലെ സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 22178 ഉം സാക്ഷരത 97 ശതമാനവും ആണ്‌.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ളാലം ബ്ളോക്കിൽ കടനാട്, രാമപുരം, വെളിലാപ്പളളി (ഭാഗികം) എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 40.19 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള കടനാട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. 1958ലാണ് ഈ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി രൂപീകൃതമായത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ഉഴവൂർ ബ്ളോക്കിൽ കാണക്കാരി വില്ലേജ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 23.23 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള കാണക്കാരി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ഉഴവൂർ ബ്ളോക്കിൽ കിടങ്ങൂർ വില്ലേജ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന 25.12 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് കിടങ്ങൂർ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി താലൂക്കിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു പഞ്ചായത്താണ് കുറിച്ചി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. 16.22 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്ററാണ് ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ വിസ്തീർണ്ണം. പണ്ടുകാലങ്ങളിൽ ജലഗതാഗതം സാർവ്വത്രികമായിരുന്ന ഇവിടെ പുത്തൂർ കടവ്, കല്ലുപുരയ്ക്കൽ കടവ്, കുറിച്ചി പള്ളിക്കടവ്, കല്ലുകടവ് തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി കടവുകൾ നിലനിന്നിരുന്നു. കരിനാട്ടുവാല നിന്നും ആലപ്പുഴ, ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലേക്ക് സർവ്വീസ് നടത്തുന്ന രണ്ടു യാത്രാബോട്ടുകൾ പഞ്ചായത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്നുണ്ട്. എം.സി.റോഡാണ് പഞ്ചായത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രധാന സംസ്ഥാന പാത.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ഉഴവൂർ ബ്ളോക്കിൽ കുറവിലങ്ങാട് വില്ലേജ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 22.93 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള കുറവിലങ്ങാട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിലാണ് കൂട്ടിക്കൽ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. അതോടൊപ്പം കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി ബ്ളോക്കിലെ കൂട്ടിയ്ക്കൽ, മുണ്ടക്കയം ഒന്നും രണ്ടും വില്ലേജുകൾ പഞ്ചായത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ വിസ്തീർണ്ണം 33.82 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ ആണ്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി ബ്ളോക്കിലാണ് 32.69 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള കോരുത്തോട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ വൈക്കം താലൂക്കിൽ കടുത്തുരുത്തി ബ്ളോക്കിലാണ് 28.91 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഞീഴൂർ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ഈരാറ്റുപേട്ട ബ്ളോക്കിൽ ഈരാറ്റുപേട്ട, തലപ്പലം വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 22.73 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള തലപ്പലം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. 1953-ൽ നിലവിൽ വന്ന ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തിൽ ഈരാറ്റുപേട്ട, തലപ്പുലം എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. തലപ്പുലം ഗ്രാമ പഞ്ചായത്തിന് പൊതുവേ കുന്നിൻ പ്രദേശങ്ങളും സമതലപ്രദേശങ്ങളും ഇടകലർന്ന ഭൂപ്രകൃതിയാണ്. മീനച്ചിൽ ആറും ചെറുതോടുകളുമാണ് ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ മുഖ്യ ജലസ്രോതസ്സുകൾ.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ളാലം ബ്ളോക്കിലാണ് 27.04 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഭരണങ്ങാനം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. 1953 ൽ ആണ് ഈ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് രൂപീകൃതമായത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കോട്ടയം താലൂക്കിൽ പാമ്പാടി ബ്ളോക്കിൽ മീനടം വില്ലേജ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 11.44 ച. കി. മീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള മീനടം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി ബ്ളോക്കിൽ മുണ്ടക്കയം, ഇടക്കുന്നം, എരുമേലി വടക്ക് വില്ലേജ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 56 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള മുണ്ടക്കയം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ഈരാറ്റുപേട്ട ബ്ളോക്കിലാണ് മേലുകാവ് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. മേലുകാവ്, തലപ്പലം, ഭരണങ്ങാനം, മൂന്നിലവ് എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകളിലായി വ്യാപിച്ചുകിടക്കുന്ന മേലുകാവ് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിനു 30.49 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുണ്ട്. ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ അതിരുകൾ വടക്കുഭാഗത്ത് ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിലെ മുട്ടം, കുടയത്തൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തുകളും, കിഴക്കുഭാഗത്ത് കടയത്തൂർ, മൂന്നിലവ് പഞ്ചായത്തും, ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിലെ കുടയത്തൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തും, തെക്കുഭാഗത്ത് തലപ്പാലം പഞ്ചായത്തും, പടിഞ്ഞാറുഭാഗത്ത് ഭരണങ്ങാനം, കടനാട്, പഞ്ചായത്തുകളുമാണ്. 2001-ലെ കാനേഷുമാരി കണക്കുകൾ പ്രകാരം 11,397 ആണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ ജനസംഖ്യ. 88 ശതമാനമാണ് ഈ പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ സാക്ഷരത. പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ ഇലവീഴാപുഞ്ചിറ എന്ന സ്ഥലം ധാരാളം വിനോദ സഞ്ചാരികളെ ആകർഷിച്ചുവരുന്ന ഇടമാണ്. 1953 ആഗസ്റ്റ് 28-നാണ് മേലുകാവ് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് രൂപീകൃതമായത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി താലൂക്കിൽ മാടപ്പള്ളി ബ്ളോക്കിൽ വാകത്താനം, തോട്ടയ്ക്കാട് വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 26.48 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള വാകത്താനം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ വൈക്കം താലൂക്കിൽ വൈക്കം ബ്ളോക്കിലാണ് 29.13 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള വെച്ചൂർ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കോട്ടയം താലൂക്കിൽ പാമ്പാടി ബ്ളോക്കിൽ ആനിക്കാട്, ചെങ്ങളം ഈസ്റ്റ്, എലിക്കുളം വില്ലേജ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് പള്ളിക്കത്തോട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്..നെടുമ്പാശ്ശേരി വിമാനത്താവളമാണ് പഞ്ചായത്തിനോട് ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന വിമാനത്താവളം. കോട്ടയം റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനാണ് പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷൻ. കൊച്ചി തുറമുഖമാണ് പഞ്ചായത്തിനോട് ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന തുറമുഖം. ഇവിടുത്തെ അരുവിക്കുഴി വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികളെ ആകർഷിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പ്രധാന കേന്ദ്രമാണ്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ വൈക്കം താലൂക്കിൽ കടുത്തുരുത്തി ബ്ളോക്കിൽ വെള്ളൂർ വില്ലേജ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 19.29 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള വെള്ളൂർ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കേരളത്തിൽ, കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് കല്ലറ. നാലു വശവും വെള്ളത്താൽ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ടതും മുന്നിൽ രണ്ട് ഭാഗം നെൽ കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്ന പുഞ്ചപ്പാടശേഖരങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന 27.48 ച.കി. മീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഒരു കൊച്ചുഗ്രാമമാണ് കല്ലറ. പഞ്ചായത്ത് അപ്പർ കുട്ടനാട് പ്രദേശമാണ്. പഞ്ചായത്തിൻറെ വികസന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങലെല്ലാം കാർഷികമേഖലയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ളതാണ്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി താലൂക്കിൽ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി ബ്ളോക്കിൽ കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി, കൂവപ്പള്ളി വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 52.47 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. ഈ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് 1958-ലാണ് രൂപീകൃതമായത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ഈരാറ്റുപേട്ട ബ്ളോക്കിൽ പൂഞ്ഞാർ തെക്കേക്കര, പൂഞ്ഞാർ നടുഭാഗം എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 60.86 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള പൂഞ്ഞാർ തെക്കേക്കര ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കോട്ടയം താലൂക്കിൽ പാമ്പാടി ബ്ളോക്ക് പരിധിയിലാണ് അകലക്കുന്നം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് . അകലക്കുന്നം, ചെങ്ങളം ഈസ്റ്റ് എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകൾ ഈ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു .

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ മീനച്ചിൽ താലൂക്കിൽ ഉഴവൂർ ബ്ളോക്ക് പരിധിയിലാണ് മരങ്ങാട്ടുപിള്ളി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് കുറിച്ചിത്താനം, ഇലക്കാട് (ഭാഗികം), മോനിപ്പിള്ളി (ഭാഗികം) എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് മരങ്ങാട്ടുപിള്ളി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കോട്ടയം താലൂക്കിൽ ഏറ്റുമാനൂർ ബ്ളോക്കിൽ അയ്മനം, പെരുമ്പായിക്കാട്(ഭാഗികം) വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന 30.03 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് അയ്മനം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ വൈക്കം താലൂക്കിൽ വൈക്കം ബ്ളോക്കിൽ വൈക്കം വില്ലേജ് ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 17.03 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള ടി.വി.പുരം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ കോട്ടയം താലൂക്കിൽ പാമ്പാടി ബ്ലോക്കിൽ 15.53 ചതുരശ്രകിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള മണർകാട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ, ചങ്ങനാശ്ശേരി താലൂക്കിൽ വാഴപ്പള്ളി പടിഞ്ഞാറ്, വാഴപ്പള്ളി കിഴക്ക് വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് വാഴപ്പള്ളി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. കേരളത്തിൽ നിന്നും ലഭ്യമായ ഏറ്റവും പഴയ ലിഖിതം വാഴപ്പള്ളി ശാസനം കണ്ടുകിട്ടിയത് വാഴപ്പള്ളിയിലെ മഹാദേവർക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നുമാണ് . ശാസനം എ.ഡി 832-ൽ ആണ് വാഴപ്പള്ളി ശാസനം എഴുതപ്പെട്ടതെന്നു കരുതുന്നു.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയുടെ കിഴക്കൻ ഭാഗത്തായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന പഞ്ചായത്താണ് വാഴൂർ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്. വാഴൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ ആസ്ഥാനം ദേശീയ പാത 183-ൽ കൊടുങ്ങൂരിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. വാഴൂരിലെ ഭൂരിഭാഗം ജനങ്ങളും റബ്ബർ കർഷകരാണ്. പ്രധാന പട്ടണം കൊടുങ്ങൂരാണ്. പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ ഏക കലാലയം എസ് ആർ വി എൻ എസ് എസ് കോളേജാണ്. കോട്ടയം നഗരത്തിൽ നിന്നും 22 കി.മി ദൂരമുണ്ട് വാഴൂർ പഞ്ചായത്തിലേക്ക്.2008 വരെ വാഴൂർ നിയമസഭാമണ്ഡലത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്നു ഈ പഞ്ചായത്ത്. എന്നാൽ 2008-ലെ പുനസംഘടനയിൽ വാഴൂർ നിയമസഭാമണ്ഡലം ഇല്ലാതാകുകയും വാഴൂർ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് കാഞ്ഞിരപ്പള്ളി നിയമസഭമണ്ഡലത്തിലേയ്ക്ക് ചേർക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ കോട്ടയം താലൂക്കിൽ പള്ളം ബ്ളോക്കിൽ വിജയപുരം, മുട്ടമ്പല (ഭാഗികം) എന്നീ വില്ലേജുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്താണ് 12.61 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള വിജയപുരം ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്.

കേരളത്തിലെ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിൽ വാഴപ്പിള്ളി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു ഗ്രാമമാണ് മഞ്ചാടിക്കര. ചങ്ങനാശേരിയിൽ നിന്ന് 3 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് മഞ്ചാടിക്കര സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. വാഴപ്പിള്ളി ശ്രീമഹാദേവക്ഷേത്രം മഞ്ചാടിക്കരയ്ക്കടുത്താണ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്.

കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ പുതുപ്പള്ളിയിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന സർക്കാർ വിദ്യാലയമാണ് സെന്റ് ജോർജസ് ഗവ. വൊക്കേഷണൽ ഹയർസെക്കണ്ടറി സ്‌കൂൾ, പുതുപ്പള്ളി. എ.ഡി. 1917 മെയ് 23 നാണ് സ്‌കൂളിൽ ക്ലാസുകൾ തുടങ്ങിയത്. സാഹിത്യകാരനും തിരുവിതാംകൂർ സ്‌കൂൾസ് ചീഫ് ഇൻസ്‌പെക്ടർ ഒറ്റപ്ലാക്കൽ റാവു സാഹിബ് ഒ.എം. ചെറിയാന്റെ ശ്രമഫലമായിട്ടാണ് സ്‌കൂൾ ആരംഭിച്ചത്. 1931 മെയ് 18 ന് ഈ വിദ്യാലയം ഹൈസ്‌ക്കൂളായി ഉയർത്തപ്പെട്ടു. 1983ൽ സ്‌കൂൾ ഗേൾസ് ഹൈസ്‌കൂളും 1992ൽ വൊക്കേഷണൽ ഹയർസെക്കണ്ടറി സ്‌കൂളുമായി മാറി.
