Cornwall

General Vanier Secondary School (GVIS) was a public intermediate school located in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Due to a decline in student enrollment, the school was closed in the fall of 2011 and its students transferred to Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School (CCVS). The Catholic high school St. Joseph's Secondary School (SJSS) is attached and continues to share the school grounds.

The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry County Library, Ontario, Canada, was established in 1971, the SD&G County Library grew from the merger of seven existing libraries located in a number of small rural communities of Eastern Ontario, Canada: Lancaster, Ingleside, Newington (ceased 1998), Morrisburg, Chesterville, Winchester and South Mountain. Added in the same year were branches in Maxville and Alexandria, followed by Long Sault (1972); Crysler (1973); Moose Creek (ceased 2004), Avonmore, St. Andrews (ceased 2016), Williamstown (1975); Brinston (1976–1998); Finch (1978) and Dalkeith (1978-2016); Williamsburg (1979); Morewood (1986-2016); Glen Robertson (1988–1998); Lancaster Township (1992–2001); and Iroquois (1998).

Cornwall Tool Library (CTL) is a tool lending public library system based in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Tool libraries loan specialized tools for both experienced and inexperienced community members who are interested in home repair, maintenance, building projects, community projects, gardening and landscaping. The CTL is a part of the Resource-Based Economy Group (RBEG), a registered Canadian non-profit, is responsible for the operations and management of the CTL. The CTL offers standard memberships to community members over 18 years of age.

St. Joseph's Secondary School (SJSS) or St. Joseph's Catholic Secondary School (SJCSS) is a separate (publicly funded Catholic) secondary school in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Falling under the jurisdiction of the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, it shares its building with the newly amalgamated Sacred Heart Catholic School and grade 7-8 wing (where General Vanier Intermediate School was previously housed).

CFLG-FM (104.5 MHz) is a Canadian radio station in Cornwall, Ontario. The station airs a hot adult contemporary format branded as 104.5 Fresh Radio.

CJUL was an English-language Canadian radio station located in Cornwall, Ontario.

CJSS-FM (101.9 MHz) is a commercial radio station in Cornwall, Ontario. The station broadcasts a classic hits format branded as Boom 101.9. CJSS is owned by Corus Entertainment, which acquired the station, along with CFLG-FM, in 2001.

Si Miller Arena, formerly known as Water Street Arena, was an indoor arena located at 229 Water Street East in Cornwall, Ontario. It was built in 1936 and hosted the Cornwall Royals between 1969 and 1976, during part of their time in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, before moving to the Ed Lumley Arena at the Cornwall Civic Complex. The arena was renamed in honour of Si Miller, the City of Cornwall's Director of Parks and Recreation from 1963 until his retirement on December 31, 1994. The arena featured a 185' x 85' ice surface and a seating capacity of 700 people.

The Cornwall Canal was built by the British government of Canada to bypass a troublesome rapids hindering navigation on the St. Lawrence at Cornwall, Ontario. Construction began in 1834 and was completed in 1843.

The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC), formerly known as the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority, is a nonprofit Canadian Corporation established in 1998 by the government of Canada, in partnership with Seaway users and other stakeholders, in order to ensure safe and efficient marine traffic. As dictated by the 1998 Canada Marine Act, the Corporation manages and operates the assets of the Crown entrusted to St. Lawrence Seaway, which consists of lands, Canals and 13 of the 15 locks between Montreal and Lake Erie, for the government under a long-term agreement with Transport Canada".
