The Youth Hero Motorway (Korean: 청년영웅도로; Hanja: 青年英雄道路), also known as the Pyongyang–Nampo Motorway, is a 46.3-kilometre-long (28+3⁄4 mi) expressway in North Korea that connects the cities of Pyongyang, the capital of the country, and Nampo, a city on the coast of Korea Bay in South Pyongan Province. Construction began in November 1998, and the expressway opened in October 2000. It is classified as a level 1 roadway.
The Twin Column Tomb (Korean: 쌍기둥무덤) is a two-chambered burial tomb dating from Koguryo period. It is located in Nampo, North Korea. It is listed as a National Treasure of North Korea for the painting on the north wall of the back chamber. The tomb was discovered by the Japanese during their occupation of the Korean Peninsula.

The April 13 Ironworks, one of North Korea's primary metal industries, is an ironworks in Posan-dong, Ch'ŏllima-guyŏk, Namp'o. Originally opened during the Japanese colonial era, it was nationalised after the partition of Korea and has been renovated several times, in the 1960s and again in the 1980s. As of 1997 it has a production capacity of hundreds of thousands of tons of pig iron, of which all is shipped to the Ch'ŏllima Steel Complex in nearby Kangsŏn.
The Namp'o Kangsŏ Missile Factory (North Korean 남포시강서구역미싸일공장, South Korean 남포시강서구역미사일공장) is a factory reportedly manufacturing the Scud and Taepodong-2 ballistic missiles, located in Kangsŏ-guyŏk, Namp'o, North Korea The factory is located partially above ground and partially underground and is rail-served, with a spur entering the underground facility from the Chamjilli railway station on the P'yŏngnam Line of the Korean State Railway. The plant has reportedly produced up to 200 Scud missiles annually, using electronic components based on Japanese designs manufactured at the P'yŏngyang Semiconductor Factory.
The Taean Machine Complex is machinery factory in Taean-dong, Taean-guyŏk, Namp'o Special City, North Korea producing a wide array of electric machinery for industrial and household use.
The Kŭmsŏng Tractor Factory, located in Kiyang-dong, Kangsŏ-guyŏk, Namp'o, is North Korea's largest manufacturer of tractors, bulldozers, and other agricultural equipment. Employing around 10,000 workers, the factory has a floor area of 142,000 m2 (1,530,000 sq ft) on a total area of 400,000 m2 (4,300,000 sq ft). Peak production capacity is 10,000 tractors per year. The factory's current product is the Chollima-804Ka tractor. Claims have been made this factory also produces TEL mobile missile platforms.

Onchon Field is a 50,000 ha wetland site in South Pyongan Province of North Korea. It contains freshwater wetlands, rice paddies and salt pans. It has been identified by BirdLife International as an Important Bird Area (IBA) because it supports populations of swan geese, greater white-fronted geese, whooper swans, black-faced spoonbills, Chinese egrets, great bustards, white-naped cranes, hooded cranes and red-crowned cranes. It is threatened by agricultural intensification, aquacultural development and human disturbance.
The Kim Ung-so House is the residence of yangban Kim Ung-so, located in Ryonghung Village, Ryonggang County, North Korea. Until 2002, descendants of Ung-so still lived in the house; after that date, it was rebuilt on orders of Kim Jong-il. It is now a tourist attraction.
Hwangryong Fortress (Korean: 황룡산성; Hanja: 皇龍山城) is a stone fortress of Goguryeo located in what is now Ryonggang county, Nampo in North Korea. It is designated as "No.37 National Treasure of North Korea". It is about 10-11 metres high, 6-8 metres in width and has a 6.6 kilometre circumference.

Until 2013, it was a joint venture in Nampo between Pyonghwa Motors of Seoul (South Korea), a company owned by Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church, and the North Korean Ryonbong General Corp. The joint venture produced small cars under licence from Fiat and Brilliance China Auto, a pickup truck and an SUV using complete knock down kits from Chinese manufacturer Dandong Shuguang, and a luxury car of SsangYong design. From 2013, the company has been fully owned by the North Korean state.

남포타워(영어: Nampo Tower)는 조선민주주의인민공화국 남포시에 위치한 마천루이다.
The Nampho Dam or West Sea Dam, also known as the West Sea Barrage or West Sea Lock Gate,[a] is a tidal barrage located 15 km west of the special city of Nampho, North Korea. It is a large, eight-km-long system of dams, three lock chambers, and 36 sluices, allowing the passage of ships up to 50,000 tons. The dam closes the estuary of the Taedong River off from the Yellow Sea. It was built by the North Korean Army from 1981 to 1986, with the resources of the whole country directed to this main construction project. The West Sea Barrage Line runs over the dam.
The Taedong River estuary Important Bird Area is an 11,500 ha site in southern South Pyongan Province of North Korea, where the Taedong River meets the Yellow Sea. It has been identified by BirdLife International as an Important Bird Area (IBA) because it supports populations of various water birds. These include swan geese, mute swans, whooper swans, Baikal teals, Steller's sea eagles, red-crowned cranes and Saunders's gulls. The site comprises a range of wetlands including freshwater lakes, salt evaporation ponds and rice paddies. Threats to the IBA include agricultural intensification and aquacultural development.
