Eliogarty

County Tipperary (Irish: Contae Thiobraid Árann) is a county in Ireland. It is in the province of Munster and the Southern Region. The county is named after the town of Tipperary, and was established in the early 13th century, shortly after the Norman invasion of Ireland. It is Ireland's largest inland county and shares a border with eight counties, more than any other. The population of the county was 167,895 at the 2022 census. The largest towns are Clonmel, Nenagh and Thurles.

Moyne Aerodrome was an aerodrome situated north east of Thurles, County Tipperary in Ireland. The aerodrome is no longer operational. As of 2008, it was one of only two official aerodromes in County Tipperary.

The Cathedral of the Assumption is the mother church of the Metropolitan Province of Cashel and the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly in Thurles, County Tipperary in Ireland. It is the cathedra of the Archbishop of Cashel and Emly and stands on the site of earlier chapels, which were the only Roman Catholic churches in Thurles. Following the English Reformation, many archdiocesan assets, including the cathedral at the Rock of Cashel were appropriated by the established church. James Butler II (1774–91), on being appointed by the Holy See, moved his residence and cathedra from Cashel, favouring Thurles instead, where his successors continue to reign today.

Moycarkey, Littleton, Two-Mile-Borris (also known as Moycarkey and Borris or Moycarkey) is an ecclesiastical parish in the Cashel deanery of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. There are three churches in the parish:

Loughmoe Castle (Irish: Caisláin Luach Magh, also spelt Loughmore Castle) is a ruined castle in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is by Loughmore village, 4 km south of Templemore. The castle was the ancestral home of the Purcell family, the Barons of Loughmoe.

McCan Barracks (Irish: Dún Mhic Cana) is a barracks, in Templemore, County Tipperary in Ireland, which is used by both the Garda Síochána College and the Defence Forces. Originally built in the 19th century and known as Richmond Barracks, it was renamed in honour of Pierce McCan in the early 20th century. It took on the role as the national centre for training the Garda Síochána – Ireland's police force – in 1964 when Garda Headquarters in the Phoenix Park ceased to perform that role. The barracks also houses a small detachment of the Irish Army and is home to a unit of the Irish Army Reserve.

Bohernacrusha (Irish: Bóthar na Croise) is a small village in County Tipperary. It is located a short distance south-westwards along the R661 road from Holycross.

Eliogarty (Irish: Éile Uí Fhógarta) is a barony in County Tipperary, Ireland. This geographical unit of land is one of 12 baronies in County Tipperary. Its chief town is Thurles. The barony lies between Ikerrin to the north (whose chief town is Roscrea), Kilnamanagh Upper to the west (whose chief town is Borrisoleigh), Middle Third to the south (whose chief town is Cashel) and County Kilkenny to the east. It is currently administered by Tipperary County Council.

Gurteen College is an agricultural college 4.4 km (2.7 mi) from Ballingarry, North Tipperary, Ireland. Founded as Gurteen Agricultural College by the Methodist Church in Ireland in 1947, it was officially opened by the Minister for Agriculture, Patrick Smith, on October 11, 1947. The college provides training courses in agriculture and equine studies for farms and rural enterprises. It is a charity registered in Ireland.

Killahara Castle is a tower house in the townland of Killahara in County Tipperary, Ireland. Built in the 16th century, it is located near Thurles and the villages of Dovea and Loughmore.

Lisheen Castle is an 18th-century building in Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland. It was originally a three storey Irish Palladian country house with castle features being added in the early 19th- century. It was burnt down by the IRA in 1921 during the Irish War of Independence and disused for eighty years before being bought in 1994 and restored.

Moycarkey Castle, in Moycarky townland, County Tipperary, is a tower-house located inside a large rectangular bawn with round flanking towers at the north-eastern and south-western corners. The entrance to the tower-house is protected by a double murder-hole.

Lisheen Mine is a former lead-zinc-silver mine located between the villages of Moyne and Templetuohy in County Tipperary, Ireland. In the Rathdowney Trend, Lisheen was an underground mine where the Lisheen deposit lies at an average depth of 170 metres (560 feet) below surface. The mine closed in 2015.

Templemore, Clonmore and Killea is an ecclesiastical parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. The parish includes the town of Templemore and the nearby villages of Clonmore and Killea in County Tipperary.

The Garda College Museum and Visitor Centre (Irish: Mhúsaem an Coláiste Garda Síochána agus Ionad Cuartaíochta) was a police museum located in the chapel of the Garda Síochána College at McCan Barracks, Templemore, County Tipperary, Ireland where members of the Garda Síochána (the Irish police service) are educated and trained.

CBS Thurles is a Christian Brothers all-boys post-primary school located in Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland. The school has over 550 students and operates under the trusteeship of Edmund Rice Schools Trust (ERST).

Templemore Town Hall (Irish: Halla an Bhaile An Teampall Mór), is a municipal building in Main Street, Templemore, County Tipperary, Ireland. As of May 2023, it was being converted into a library and enterprise and cultural centre.

The Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly (Irish: Ard-Deoise Chaisil agus Imligh) is a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church located in mid-western Ireland, and the metropolis of the eponymous ecclesiastical province. The cathedral church of the archdiocese is the Cathedral of the Assumption in Thurles, County Tipperary. The incumbent archbishop, as of 2024, is Kieran O'Reilly.

Thurles Gaels GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "Mid-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the town of Thurles and its hinterland and is a combination of three clubs: Thurles Kickhams, Rahealty and Thurles Fennellys. The club was formed in 2005 under the name "Thurles KRF" it later changed its name to "Thurles Gaels" in 2009. In 2006 the decision was made to start a Juvenile Club.
