Greek National Road 53 (Greek: Εθνική Οδός 53), abbreviated as the EO53, is a national road in northeastern Greece. The EO53 runs within the Evros regional unit, from Alexandroupolis to Mikro Dereio near the border with Bulgaria: however, the border crossing itself is unbuilt.
Tycheró (Greek: Τυχερό, [tiçeˈro]) is a town and a former municipality in the Evros regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Soufli, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 220.411 km2. Tychero is situated near the river Evros, which forms the border with Turkey here.
Soufli (Greek: Σουφλί, romanized: Souflí) is a town in the Evros regional unit, Greece, notable for the silk industry that flourished there in the 19th century. The town stands on the eastern slope of the twin hill of Prophet Elias, one of the easternmost spurs on the Rhodope Mountains. It is situated in the center of the Evros regional unit, 65 km north of Alexandroupoli and 50 km southwest of Orestiada, on Greek National Road 51/E85 which links Alexandroupoli with Edirne and the Bulgarian border at Ormenio. The town center is only 500m from the Evros River. Soufli is the seat of the municipality of Soufli.
Dadia (Greek: Δαδιά) is a village and a community in the northwestern part of the Evros regional unit, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Dadia is in the municipality of Soufli. Its population in 2021 was 409 for the community, including the village Kotronia. It is located southwest of Soufli and north of Feres. The name originates from a resinous pine wood which in the past was used for lighting.
Kyriaki (Greek: Κυριακή) is a village in the central part of the Evros regional unit in Greece, in the municipal unit of Orfeas of the municipality Soufli. With 100 inhabitants (2011 census) it is the least populated community in the municipal unit. Kyriaki is in a valley in the wooded Eastern Rhodope Mountains, 15 km southeast of the Bulgarian-Greek border. It is situated between the villages Mikro Dereio and Protokklisi.

Amorio (Greek: Αμόριο, romanized: Amório, IPA: [aˈmoɾi.o]) is a village in the municipal unit of Orfeas, northeastern Evros, Greece. It is situated at 2 km from the right bank of the river Evros, that forms the border with Turkey here. Amorio is 6 km northeast of Lavara, 7 km southwest of Didymoteicho and 21 km west of Uzunköprü (Turkey). The Greek National Road 51/E85 (Alexandroupoli - Orestiada - Svilengrad) and the railway from Alexandroupoli to Didymoteicho pass through the village.
Mikro Dereio (Greek: Μικρό Δέρειο) is a village and a community in the central part of the Evros regional unit in Greece. It is situated on the left bank of the river Erythropotamos, in the Eastern Rhodope Mountains. The border with Bulgaria is 5 km to the north. Mikro Dereio is on the Greek National Road 53. In 2021 its population was 1,836 for the community, which consists of the villages Mikro Dereio, Geriko, Goniko, Mega Dereio, Petrolofos, Roussa and Sidirochori. It is the most populous community of the municipal unit of Orfeas.
Protokklisi (Greek: Πρωτοκκλήσι meaning the first church, Bulgarian: Башклисе) is a village and a community in the central part of the Evros regional unit in Greece. Protoklissi is in the municipal unit of Orfeas. In 2021 its population was 776 for the community, including the village Agriani. Protokklisi is located about 15 km northwest of Soufli, in the valley of a right tributary of the river Evros.
Thymaria (Greek: Θυμαριά; Turkish: Köpekli) is a village in Greece, approximately 23 km south of Soufli. It is part of the municipal unit Tychero. It has a population of 361 (1991 census).
Η Κορνοφωλιά είναι οικισμός του δήμου Σουφλίου του νομού Έβρου.
Η Λευκίμμη είναι οικισμός του νομού Έβρου, 52 χλμ. ΒΑ της Αλεξανδρούπολης. Ανήκει στο δήμο Σουφλίου. Ο πληθυσμός του το 2021 ήταν 153 κάτοικοι, από 201 το 2011.
Ο Προβατώνας είναι χωριό του νομού Έβρου και ανήκει στο Δήμο Σουφλίου. Η δημοτική κοινότητα Προβατώνα, που περιλαμβάνει και τους οικισμούς Θυμαριά και Ταύρη, το 2021 είχε πληθυσμό 697 κατοίκους, από 1.004 το 2011.
Το Φυλακτό είναι χωριό του Νομού Έβρου και του Δήμου Σουφλίου. Το 2021 είχε πραγματικό πληθυσμό 176 κατοίκους, από 309 το 2011.
Τα Λαγυνά είναι χωριό του Νομού Έβρου.
Το Λυκόφως είναι χωριό του Νομού Έβρου, το οποίο ανήκει στον Δήμο Σουφλίου. Ο πληθυσμός του σύμφωνα με την τελευταία απογραφή (2021) ήταν 255 κάτοικοι, ενώ το μεσοσταθμικό υψόμετρο είναι 18 μέτρα πάνω από την επιφάνεια της θάλασσας. Το χωριό είναι κτισμένο πλάι στην εθνική οδό, 8 χιλιόμετρα νότια του Σουφλίου και στη ρίζα των τελευταίων υψωμάτων της Ροδόπης.

Didymoteicho is one of the northernmost operational railway stations in Greece.

Located 1.1 kilometres (0.68 mi) northeast of the town centre, the station opened in 1872 by the Chemins de fer Orientaux, (now part of OSE). Today TrainOSE operates just 4 daily Regional trains to Alexandroupoli and Ormenio. The station is unstaffed however there are waiting rooms available, if open.
Η Μονή Κορνοφωλιάς ή Μονή Παναγιάς Πορταΐτισσας βρίσκεται στην περιφερειακή ενότητα Έβρου, μέσα στο Εθνικό πάρκο Δαδιάς - Λευκίμμης - Σουφλίου σε απόσταση 6 χλμ. Ν.-ΝΔ. από το Σουφλί και 63 χλμ. ΒΑ. από την Αλεξανδρούπολη. Είναι κτισμένη επάνω στο λόφο "Κουρί" και 1 χλμ. δυτικά της Κορνοφωλιάς.
Dadia-Lefkimi-Soufli Forest National Park (Greek: Εθνικό Πάρκο Δάσους Δαδιάς-Λευκίμης-Σουφλίου) is a national park in the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Local surveys have recorded at least 60 species of mammals, 12 of amphibians, 29 of reptiles, and 104 of butterflies, alongside 360–400 plant species; birds include the Black vulture, Egyptian vulture, and Griffon vulture. Ecotourism in the park, initiated and developed by WWF Greece since the early 1990s, has successfully combined biodiversity conservation—particularly of endangered raptors—with local economic development, boosting employment and community involvement. The project includes visitor infrastructure, environmental education, and guided experiences.
