Xanthi (pronounced [ˈksanθi], Greek: Περιφερειακή ενότητα Ξάνθης) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the Region of East Macedonia and Thrace. The capital is Xanthi. Together with the regional units Rhodope and Evros, it forms the geographical region of Western Thrace.
Xanthi railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Ξάνθης, romanized: Sidirodromikós stathmós Xànthi) is a railway station that servers the city of Xanthi, in Xanthi in East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. The station is located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) southwest of the city centre, but still within the city limits. The station (as of 2019) is staffed, but only at peak times, but has waiting rooms and a taxi rank.

Η Κούλα είναι οροσειρά (μήκους 25 χιλιομέτρων περίπου) της βόρειας Ελλάδας με μέγιστο υψόμετρο 1.828 μέτρα (κορυφή Γυφτόκαστρο της Χαϊντούς στα σύνορα Ελλάδας - Βουλγαρίας).

Echinos (Greek: Εχίνος; Bulgarian: Шахин, Shahin) is a village and a community in the municipality Myki. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Myki, of which it was a municipal district. The 2021 census recorded 2,780 inhabitants in the community. The community of Echinos covers an area of 85.691 km2.
Xanthi FC Arena is a football ground built by Xanthi F.C. in Xanthi, Thrace, Greece. It was built over the course of ten months in 2004. It holds up to 7,244 spectators, with 80% of the seats under the roof. The stadium was built because of a disagreement between then FC Skoda Xanthi and the amateur club AO Xanthi. It is situated in an area where the club had built its training facilities (Xanthi Athletic Center). The stadium was officially inaugurated by the Brazilian legend Pelé on 12 May 2005.

Thermes (Greek: Θέρμες, romanized: Thérmes) is a former community in the Xanthi regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Myki, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 90.014 km2. It consists of the villages Ano Thermes, Thermes (also called Kato Thermes), Meses Thermes, Medousa, Kidaris, Diasparto, and Kottani. The population of Thermes was around 1396 inhabitants in 1991. In 2021, the population decreased to 646 inhabitants. Thermes is popular for its hot spas, which can be found all around the area.
Satres (Greek: Σάτρες, Bulgarian: Синиково, romanized: Sinikovo, Turkish: Sinikova) is a former community in the Xanthi regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Myki, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 149.327 km2. Population 272 (2021). The community Satres consists of the settlements Satres, Akraios, Gidotopos, Dourgouti, Kalotycho, Koundouros, Lykotopos, Polyskio, Potamochori, Rematia, Temenos and Tsalapeteinos.
Kotyli (Greek: Κοτύλη, romanized: Kotýli, Turkish: Kozluca, Bulgarian: Козлуджа, Kozludža) is a former community in the Xanthi regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it has been part of the municipality Myki, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 79.119 km2 and a population of 2,031 (2021). The community consists of the settlements Kotyli, Aimoni, Dimari and Pachni.

It is located 740 kilometers from Athens, 233 kilometers from Thessalonica, and 5 kilometers east of Xanthi. The community consists of the settlements Kimmeria, Alikochori, Anthiro, Askyra, Gialistero, Eranos, Ketiki, Livadi, Panepistimioupoli (Campus of Democritus University of Thrace), Pelekito, Porta, Prioni and Ydrochori, many of which are deserted.

It is part of the municipal unit of Myki, and is located north northeast of Sminthi and 23 kilometers northeast of Xanthi. In 1991, the population of Glafki was around 1169 inhabitants. In 2001, the population slightly rose to around 1181 inhabitants.
Kastanitis (Greek: Καστανίτης) is a settlement in the Xanthi regional unit of Greece. It is part of the community Karyofyto. Before the population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1923, Kastanitis was inhabited by Turks. The name of the village is derived from the numerous chestnut trees present in the area. At one time, the local school at Kastanitis was able to provide education to 76 students. The population of Kastanitis in 1920 was around 281 inhabitants. In 1961, the population dramatically dropped to around 127 inhabitants and by 1971, there were only 24 inhabitants in the village.

Oraio (Greek: Ωραίο, romanized: Oraío, Bulgarian: Брещене, Орайово,) is a settlement in the municipality Myki in the Xanthi regional unit of Greece. Oraio is a Pomak Muslims minority village. It was founded in the 12th century AD, when its population was still Bulgarian Christian. The conversion to Islam occurred during the period 17th-18th century. Following the First Balkan War, Bulgaria took possession of Oraio in 1912, but after a period of eight months it was taken back by the Greek army. Shortly thereafter, as part of the accords concluding the Balkan Wars, Oraio and Western Thrace were ceded to Bulgaria and remained a part of the latter until the end of World War I. Following the Bulgarian defeat in this war, Western Thrace, and thus Oraio, was given to Greece in the second half of April 1920 at San Remo conference of the prime ministers of the main allies of the Entente powers (except the US). Later in 1923 it was left to Greece with the rest of Western Thrace region by the Treaty of Lausanne. It was occupied by Bulgaria in the period 1941–1944 during World War II. Later in 1944 it was left to Greece.

In 1981, the population of the settlement was around 2,198 inhabitants. In 1991, the number of people in Toxotes dropped to 802 inhabitants. The community consists of the settlements Toxotes, Agios Athanasios, Thalassia, Kosmiti, Megalo Tympano, Mikro Tympano, Poimni and Semeli.
Vafeika (Greek: Βαφέικα, also Βαφαίικα) is a settlement located approximately four kilometers from Genisea in the Xanthi regional unit of Greece. It is part of the community of Genisea.
Xanthi Arena, AKA Philippos Amiridis Arena is an indoor sporting arena that is located in the city of Xanthi, in the region of Western Thrace, Greece. The arena can be used for both basketball and volleyball games. Its capacity is 3,957 seats. The arena is named after Philippos Amiridis, a popular mayor of Xanthi, who died in 1999. The arena is owned by the municipality of Xanthi.

Ο Δήμος Ξάνθης είναι δήμος της Περιφέρειας Ανατολικής Μακεδονίας και Θράκης που συστάθηκε με το Πρόγραμμα «Καλλικράτης». Προέκυψε από τη συνένωση των προϋπαρχόντων δήμων Ξάνθης και Σταυρούπολης. Η έκταση του δήμου είναι 495,1 τ.χλμ. και ο μόνιμος πληθυσμός του ανέρχεται σε 66.875 κατοίκους, σύμφωνα με την απογραφή του 2021 από την ΕΛ.ΣΤΑΤ.. Η έδρα του δήμου είναι η Ξάνθη.
Το Αχλαδόβουνο ή Αχλαδοβούνι ή Αχλάτ Τσάλ ή Τσαλ είναι βουνό της Θράκης στην Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Ξάνθης. Έχει μέγιστο υψόμετρο 1.415 μέτρα στην (κορυφή Τσάλι ή Τσαλ) που δεσπόζει στο βορειοδυτικό ορίζοντα της πόλης της Ξάνθης. Αποτελεί νότια απόληξη της οροσειράς της κεντρικής Ρόδόπης και θεωρείται ορισμένες φορές, ως νότια απόληξη και συνέχεια της οροσειράς της Κούλας. Εκτός από το Τσαλ, άλλες κορυφές είναι το Καρπούζι (1.286 μ.), η Πυραμίδα (1.170 μ.), ο Μεγάλος Λόφος (1.145 μ.) κ.α.
Το Εθνικό Πάρκο Ανατολικής Μακεδονίας - Θράκης (ΕΠ ΑΜΑΘ) ιδρύθηκε το 2008 και περιέλαβε τις ήδη προστατευόμενες περιοχές του Δ. Νέστου, Λ. Βιστωνίδας, Λ. Ισμαρίδας και της ευρύτερης περιοχής τους. Το υγροτοπικό σύμπλεγμα του Εθνικού Πάρκου είναι ένα από τα σημαντικότερα της Ελλάδας, λόγω της μεγάλης έκτασής του (930.000 περίπου στρέμματα) και της μεγάλης βιολογικής, αισθητικής, επιστημονικής, γεωμορφολογικής και παιδαγωγικής του αξίας. Σκοπός του Εθνικού Πάρκου είναι η αποτελεσματική προστασία των οικοτόπων και των σπάνιων ειδών χλωρίδας και πανίδας που ενδημούν και αναπαράγονται στην περιοχή.

Myrodato (Greek: Μυρωδάτο) is a settlement in the Abdera municipal unit, Xanthi regional unit of Greece. It is located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west of Abdera. Its population was 402 at the 2021 census. In 1981, the settlement had a population of around 668, and in 1991 about 671.
Neochori (Greek: Νεοχώρι) is a community in the municipality of Xanthi in the Xanthi regional unit of Greece. It is part of the municipal unit of Stavroupoli. It consists of the settlements of Neochori, Ioniko, Kalyva, Kato Ioniko, Sidiropetra and Stavrochori.
Η Μύκη (παλαιότερα: Μουστάφτσοβα, μετονομάστηκε το 1920) είναι χωριό του νομού Ξάνθης. Ανήκει στην ομάδα των χωριών του νομού με μουσουλμανικό πληθυσμό, που αποκαλούνται συχνότερα Πομακοχώρια. Απέχει 20 χιλιόμετρα από την Ξάνθη και 5 από την Σμίνθη, την πρωτεύουσα του τοπικού δήμου. Διοικητικά ανήκει στον δήμο Μύκης και ο πληθυσμός της είναι 1.095 κάτοικοι σύμφωνα με την απογραφή του 2001. Ο πληθυσμός της παρουσιάζει συνεχή αύξηση κατά τη διάρκεια του τελευταίου αιώνα, όπως φαίνεται στον παρακάτω πίνακα.
Ο Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Σταυρούπολης είναι σιδηροδρομικός σταθμός στη Σταυρούπολη Ξάνθης. Βρίσκεται εντός του οικισμού. Ο σταθμός άνοιξε το 1900 και εξυπηρετείται από τα υπεραστικά τρένα ανάμεσα σε Θεσσαλονίκη και Αλεξανδρούπολη.
