China Airlines Flight 642 was a flight that crashed at Hong Kong (Chek Lap Kok) International Airport on 22 August 1999. It was operating from Bangkok (Bangkok International Airport, now renamed as Don Mueang International Airport) to Taipei with a stopover in Hong Kong.
Cathay Pacific Flight 780 was a flight from Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, Indonesia, to Hong Kong International Airport on 13 April 2010. On board were 309 passengers and a crew of 13. As Flight 780 neared Hong Kong, the crew were unable to change the thrust output of Engine 1. The aircraft, an Airbus A330-342, landed at almost twice the speed of a normal landing, and sustained minor damage. The 57 passengers who sustained injuries were hurt in the ensuing slide evacuation; one of them received serious injuries. Six crew members were also injured.

航空探知館(英語:Aviation Discovery Centre)位於香港國際機場二號客運大樓翔天廊6樓,是全球首間設於機場航空大廈內以航空為主題的多媒體中心,於2007年6月1日正式啟用,由洲立影藝負責營運。航空探知館設有多個展區,逾20多項多媒體互動設施,介紹世界民用航空事業、前啟德機場及新香港國際機場的發展,大部分設施均免費參觀,並且供予參觀者親自操作。但因為2019年8月14日,機管局向法庭申請臨時禁制令,規定進入機場客運大樓的人士需要向保安出示護照、機票或登機證等文件,加上二號客運大樓重建工程,於2019年10月正式關閉。
11 SKIES,又名11天空,是位於香港赤鱲角香港國際機場航天城的商業設施。11 SKIES跟香港國際機場二號客運大樓及亞洲國際博覽館以行人天橋連接,同時毗鄰屯門至赤鱲角連接路及港珠澳大橋,前身為航天城高爾夫球場,整個項目預計於2022年至2025年分階段落成。
