Orestiada Municipality

Vyssa (Greek: Βύσσα) is a former municipality in the Evros regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Orestiada, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 170.179 km². Population 4,378 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Nea Vyssa. It is named after a former village 4 km (2 mi) to its north that is now in Turkey. Refugees from that side fled into this area and settled into these villages.

The Aterenska reka (Bulgarian: Атеренска река) is a river in southern Bulgaria and northeastern Greece, a right tributary of the Arda of the Maritsa drainage. Its length is 35 km, of which 20 km in Bulgarian territory.

Trígono (Greek: Τρίγωνο, [ˈtriɣono], meaning "triangle") is a former municipality in the Evros regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it is part of the municipality Orestiada, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 392.538 km². The seat of the municipality was in Dikaia. The municipality was created in 1997 under the Capodistrian Plan. Trigono is the country's northernmost municipal unit, situated in the triangle between the rivers Evros and Ardas. It borders Bulgaria to the north and west, and Turkey to the northeast. The nearest cities are Svilengrad (Bulgaria) to the north, Edirne (Turkey) to the east, and Orestiada to the southeast. The area consists mainly of low hills, with plains in the river valleys, and higher elevations up to 400 m towards the west.

Kastanies railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομική Στάση Καστανέων, romanized: Sidirodromiki Stasi Kastanies) is a railway stop in Kastanies, Greece. It was opened in 1971 by the OSE. It is one of the northernmost railway stops in Greece, close to the Turkish border. lies 1.1 km (0.68 mi) from the village center, down an unnamed road on the edge of the village. The journey from Kastanies to Alexandroupoli takes around 128 mins.

Parapοtamiο Dasοs Voreiou Έvrou kai Άrda este o arie protejată (arie de protecție specială avifaunistică — SPA) din Grecia întinsă pe o suprafață de 25.161,96 ha, integral pe uscat.

Граничен контролно-пропускателен пункт Ивайловград – Кипринос (накратко ГКПП Ивайловград – Кипринос) се намира в близост до село Славеево, отвъд границата е село Саръхадър прекръстено от гърците на Кипринос. Пунктът свързва Ивайловград с Димотика.

Η Βέργη, έως το 1920 γνωστή ως Σιαδαμάν, Έβρου ήταν οικισμός του Νομού Έβρου, στην περιοχή μεταξύ των σημερινών οικισμών Ζώνη και Λάδη. Καταργήθηκε διοικητικά το 1951. Επί Τουρκοκρατίας, μέχρι το 1920, ονομαζόταν Σιαδαμάν. Αρχικά ο οικισμός ανήκε στον Νομό Αδριανουπόλεως, το 1924 προσαρτήθηκε στην κοινότητα Ζώνης της Επαρχίας Ορεστιάδος στο Νομό Έβρου. Το χωριό είχε πληθυσμό 119 κατοίκους στην απογραφή του 1920, 145 το 1928 και 117 το 1940.

Η Γαλήνη είναι ακατοίκητος πεδινός οικισμός της περιφερειακής ενότητας Έβρου σε υψόμετρο 80 μέτρα.

Η σιδηροδρομική γέφυρα Άρδα βρίσκεται στο βόρειο τμήμα του νομού Έβρου, επί της σιδηροδρομικής γραμμής Αλεξανδρούπολης - Δικαίων, μεταξύ των σταθμών Καστανιών και Μαρασίων. Η μελέτη για το έργο αυτό εκπονήθηκε από Έλληνες τεχνικούς. Την κατασκευή της γέφυρας ανέλαβε ελληνική τεχνική εταιρία. Οι εργασίες κατασκευής της ξεκίνησαν το 1972 και ολοκληρώθηκαν το 1975, ενώ τα εγκαίνιά της τελέστηκαν στις 2 Νοεμβρίου 1975.
