The Battle of Queenston Heights was the first major engagement of the War of 1812. The battle took place on 13 October 1812 at Queenston in Upper Canada (now Ontario) and was a decisive British victory.

The Tower Hotel, opened in 1962, is located in the Fallsview district of Niagara Falls, Ontario and was the first of the contemporary observation towers built near the brink of the Falls. It features an indoor observation deck, restaurant, and hotel. The tower is 99 metres (325 feet) tall above street level and 160 metres (520 feet) above the falls. The tower assumed its present name in 2010 as a result of its most recent renovation; as Minolta was the longest-tenured sponsor of the building, tourists and locals may still call it the Minolta Tower.

The Battle of Beaver Dams took place on 24 June 1813, during the War of 1812. A column of troops from the United States Army marched from Fort George and attempted to surprise a British outpost at Beaver Dams, billeting themselves overnight in the village of Queenston, Ontario. Laura Secord, a resident of Queenston, had earlier learned of the American plans from several Americans billeted at her house and had struck out on a long and difficult trek to warn the British at Decou's stone house near present-day Brock University. When the Americans resumed their march, they were ambushed by Kahnawake and other native warriors and eventually surrendered to a small British detachment led by Lieutenant James FitzGibbon. About 500 U.S. troops, including their wounded commander, were taken prisoner.

Ball's Falls, also known as Balls Mills, Louthe Mills and Glen Elgin, is a historical ghost town located in what is now a part of Jordan in the Niagara region, Ontario, Canada, which dates back to the early 19th century. It is now preserved as a conservation area operated by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.

During the 1866 Fenian raids into the Province of Canada, the Battle of Fort Erie was a surrounding and forcing of the Fenian invaders' surrender following a skirmish near Fort Erie and the farther-away Battle of Ridgeway on June 2. The Fenian force, withdrawing from Ridgeway, met a small force of Canadian militia at Fort Erie, then known as the village of Waterloo.

Beamer Memorial Conservation Area is located on the Niagara Escarpment in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada, and is owned and operated by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. It is noted for being the best location on the Niagara Peninsula to observe the annual spring migration of raptors.

The Bradley Octagon House, also called the Parker Octagon House or the James Parker Octagon House, is an historic octagon house located at 5783 Summer Street in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

The British Methodist Episcopal (BME) Church, Salem Chapel was founded in 1820 by African-American freedom seekers in St. Catharines, Ontario. It is located at 92 Geneva St., in the heart of Old St. Catharines. The church is a valued historical site due to its design, and its important associations with abolitionist activity.

Brock's Monument is a 56-metre (185 ft) column atop Queenston Heights in Queenston, Ontario, Canada, dedicated to Major General Sir Isaac Brock, one of Canada's heroes of the War of 1812. Brock, a British Army officer in charge of defending Upper Canada from a United States invasion, and one of his aides-de-camp, Lieutenant-Colonel John Macdonell, are interred at the monument's base on the heights above the battlefield where both fell during the Battle of Queenston Heights. The current monument was constructed between 1853 and 1856, which replaced an earlier Monument to Brock on the battlefield (1824–1840). Parks Canada maintains the monument, the most imposing feature of Queenston Heights National Historic Site. It is the fourth oldest war memorial in Canada.

CFBU-FM is a radio station serving St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Branded on-air as Brock Radio, it is the community-based campus radio station of Brock University. The station broadcasts at 103.7 FM, with an effective radiated power of 250 watts, from a transmitter located atop the Arthur Schmon Tower on the Brock campus.

CFIQ (640 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Richmond Hill, Ontario, and serving Greater Toronto, Southern Ontario and Western New York with a talk format known as "640 Toronto". Owned by Corus Entertainment, CFIQ's studios are located at the Corus Quay Building in Toronto; despite the station's city of licence being a suburban community north of the city, the transmitter is located in the Niagara Region town of Lincoln, 60 kilometres (37 miles) southwest of Toronto.

CFLZ-FM (101.1 MHz) is a commercial radio station in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, serving the Niagara Region and the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area. It is owned by Byrnes Communications and it broadcasts an adult hits format, known as 101.1 More FM. CFLZ's studios and offices are on Ontario Avenue in Niagara Falls.

CHRE-FM (105.7 FM, "Dream 105.7") is a radio station licensed to St. Catharines, Ontario. Owned by Whiteoaks Communications Group, it broadcasts an adult contemporary format.

CHTZ-FM (97.7 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, serving the Niagara Region. It is owned by Golden Horseshoe Broadcasting and broadcasts an active rock format, branded as 97.7 HTZ-FM (pronounced "Hits FM"). CHTZ shares studios (nicknamed "The White House of Rock") with its sister stations, CKTB and CHRE-FM, in "Oak Hill Mansion", the former home of William Hamilton Merritt, at 12 Yates Street in downtown St. Catharines.

CJED-FM (105.1 MHz) is a radio station in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and targeting the Greater Niagara Falls area, including the Niagara Region in Ontario and the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area in New York. The station operates a hot adult contemporary format branded as 105.1 The River. CJED's studios are located on Ontario Avenue in Niagara Falls. Initially the transmitter was located on the Skylon Tower next to Niagara Falls, but it was later moved to a new site in Thorold.

CKTB (610 AM, "610 CKTB") is a radio station licensed to St. Catharines, Ontario. Owned by Whiteoaks Communications Group, it broadcasts a talk radio format serving the Niagara Region.

Canadian Motor Speedway was a proposed motorsports park that was planned to be built in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. The development would have been located on an 821 acres (332 hectares) adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth Way highway. It was planned to consist of a 1.2 kilometre (¾ mile) progressive bank oval and 3.2 kilometres (2.0 miles) road course. With 65,000 seats and 40 suites, Canadian Motor Speedway would have been the largest speedway in Canada and the second-largest sporting venue, in terms of seating capacity, in the country (behind only Montreal's Olympic Stadium). Its proposed location had proximity to a large market area, being 6.4 kilometres (4.0 miles) from the Canada/USA border with Buffalo, New York, and 17 kilometres (11 miles) from Niagara Falls.

Captain Runchey's Company of Coloured Men was a Canadian militia company of free blacks and indentured black servants, raised in Upper Canada as a small Black corps under a White officer, Robert Reuben Runchey (1759–1819), a tavern keeper from Jordan, Upper Canada. The unit fought in several actions during the early part of the Anglo-American War of 1812. In 1813, Runchey's Company was converted into a unit of the Canadian Corps of Provincial Artificers, attached to the Royal Sappers and Miners, in which sappers and miners performed specialized military operations. They served on the Niagara River front during the war, and were disbanded a few months after the war ended. The Company of Coloured Men's military heritage is perpetuated in the modern Canadian Army by the Lincoln and Welland Regiment.

The Clifton Hotel was a historic hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. It was the site of the 1914 Niagara Falls Peace Conference. It burned down on December 31, 1932.

Cooks Mills is a small community in the easternmost part of the city of Welland in Ontario, Canada. It was established, and is still centred, on a Welland River tributary called Lyons Creek. It is almost entirely a bedroom community, as there are few employers located in the area.

The Criminals Hall of Fame Wax Museum was a wax museum on 5751 Victoria Avenue in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. One of many wax museums in the region, it was located at the top of Clifton Hill. The museum featured forty wax statues of notorious criminals, from mobsters to serial killers. The museum was created in 1977 and closed late 2014.

Crystal Beach Hill is a geologically old and natural sand dune, fifty feet high and originally about two thousand feet long, parallel to the shoreline of Crystal Beach on the south-eastern shore of Lake Erie, in the town of Fort Erie, Ontario. The Hill and beach were originally a part of the Crystal Beach Park property first developed in 1888 by John E. Rebstock as a health spa, religious campground, and later amusement park that was built where a portion of the pre-historic sand dune was washed away by Rebstock's hydraulic pumps.

Humberstone Speedway was a 3/8 mile dirt oval raceway located in Port Colborne, Ontario. Races were held on Sunday nights, and regular events include Mini Stocks, 4-Cylinder Trucks, Street Stocks, RUSH Late Models, and DIRT Sportsman races.

James G. Marshall House is a historic home located at Niagara Falls in Niagara County, New York. It is a three-story Arts and Crafts style dwelling built in 1913 by the industrialist and inventor James G. Marshall (1869–1960). It was designed by prominent local architect Simon Larke, who also designed the Former Niagara Falls High School. In April 1994, it opened as a bed and breakfast.

Fort Drummond was the site of a redoubt and battery from the War of 1812 and located within Queenston Heights.

The Screaming Tunnel is a small limestone tunnel, running underneath what once was a Grand Trunk Railway line (now the Canadian National Railway). It was located in the northwest corner of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. The actual location of the attraction is just off War. It was originally built for a North to South line for the Grand Trunk Railway. But the plans were changed. Some say the reason was lack of funding, but the actual reason is unknown. The tunnel was abandoned and used as drainage tunnel so the water could be removed from the farmlands nearby. This water would go underneath the Grand Trunk Railway and down to the valley below. Throughout the 20th century, farmers used this tunnel to transport goods and animals safely underneath the busy railroad above.

The Raid on Short Hills (June 21–23, 1838) was an incursion and attack by the Hunter Patriots on the Niagara Peninsula during the Upper Canada Rebellion.

St. Catharines Components Plant was a General Motors automobile powertrain factory in Canada and one of two GM facilities in St. Catharines, Ontario. The plant was operated by General Motors Canada. The plant manufactured engine and transmission parts.

St. Catharines Propulsion Plant is a General Motors Canada engine and manual transmission factory in St. Catharines, Ontario. Opened in 1954 and located on Glendale Avenue. The plant is also called St. Catharines Powertrain - Glendale Avenue Plant. The factory supports production of cast engine blocks from Defiance Foundry in Defiance, Ohio and Saginaw Metal Casting Operations in Saginaw, Michigan.

The St. Catharines General Hospital was a general hospital established in 1865 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, serving the Niagara Region. First established as a general and marine cottage hospital, it moved to Queenston Street in 1870. The hospital closed on March 24, 2013 after the new Niagara Health System St. Catharines site opened on Fourth Avenue.

St. Catharines Transit (SCT) is a provider of Niagara Transit which provided bus services to St. Catharines, Ontario, and the neighbouring city of Thorold. It was originally a public transit service that lasted from 1961 to 2022. The St. Catharines Transit Commission took over operation of transit services within the city from Canadian National Transportation in 1961. In January 2023, St. Catharines Transit was merged with Niagara Falls Transit, Welland Transit, and Fort Erie Transit to form a single regional transit service, Niagara Region Transit.

St. Johns (also called St. Johns West, Short Hills, and Steel's Mills) is an unincorporated rural community in Thorold, Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada.

Stamford Township is a former incorporated and now geographic township in Upper Canada, later Ontario, on the Niagara Peninsula. In 1962 the township was amalgamated with the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Thorold Secondary School, often abbreviated as TSS, is a public secondary school in Thorold, Ontario, Canada. The school was named after Sir John Thorold, a member of the British Parliament for Lincolnshire, England. It is the only high school in the city.

Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club is a semi-private 18-hole golf course located in the Niagara Peninsula, in the town of Lincoln, Ontario. It is a member owned course with an elected board of directors who oversee the facility's operations

The Crystal Beach Cyclone was one of a 'Terrifying Triplet' of highly extreme and intense roller coasters designed and built by Harry G. Traver in the late 1920s. The Cyclone was located at the Crystal Beach Park in Crystal Beach, Ontario, Canada.

The Merritton Tunnel, also known as the Blue Ghost Tunnel and the Grand Trunk Railway Tunnel, is an abandoned railway tunnel in Thorold, Ontario. The decision to build the tunnel came from the need for a more durable and less interrupted way to cross the new canal situated directly above it via vehicles. Constructed in 1875, Completed in 1876, and Opened in 1881. The tunnel is located between locks 18 and 19 of the former third Welland Canal and was built using Queenston limestone, spanning a total length of 713 feet when including the winged stone work at either end. Hundreds of men armed with picks and shovels, as well as several horses were used in the excavation of the tunnel. The tunnel was used periodically until 1915, when Harry Eastwood was the last official engineer to pilot a train through the tunnel. Following that, the tunnel was used only occasionally by farmers to transport cattle or as a safe passage from the weather.

As of 2023 Niagara has over 11,000 international students on study permits, among the highest in Canada.

The Niagara College Teaching Winery (NCT), Canada's first commercial teaching winery, is located at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus of Niagara College within the Niagara Region of Ontario. Situated in the heart of Niagara wine country, the NCTW is the centre for applied wine education for the Canadian wine industry. Officially opened in November 2002, the winery began production in 2001. With three on-site teaching and research vineyards, Winery and Viticulture students are taught the day-to-day responsibilities and inner workings of a winery, from planting grapes to selling wine. Students form teams dedicated to making a specific variety of wine. The Wine Business Management program provides students with expertise in the business, retail, marketing and export aspects of the growing wine industry. The facility operates strictly on a non-profit, cost-recovery basis with all revenue from sales reinvested into the winery program.

Niagara District Secondary School (NDSS) was a public secondary school located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

The Niagara Falls Memorial Arena was an ice arena located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Built in 1950, it served as the home of several junior ice hockey teams, including the Niagara Falls Flyers, Niagara Falls Thunder, and Niagara Falls Canucks. It was later purchased and converted into a museum, known as the Sand Sculpture Exhibition. The arena was demolished in July 2024.

The Niagara Falls Museum, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, was founded by Thomas Barnett in 1827. After a number of moves and varying fortunes it closed in 1998. The museum is known for housing the mummy of Ramesses I for 140 years before its return to Egypt in 2003.

The Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory is a butterfly house operated by the Niagara Parks Commission in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. It is located approximately 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) north of Niagara Falls on the grounds of the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, which is 40 hectares (99 acres) in size.

The Niagara Tunnel Project was part of a series of major additions to the Sir Adam Beck hydroelectric generation complex in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

The Niagara Whirlpool is a natural whirlpool within the Niagara River located along the Canada–U.S. border between New York and Ontario. The whirlpool is in the Niagara Gorge (a gorge on that border), downstream from Niagara Falls (a group of three waterfalls on that border). The whirlpool's greatest depth is 125 feet (38 m).

Peace Bridge Arena was the main sports arena located in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. Built in 1928, it held 5,000 people. It was located near the Peace Bridge connecting Fort Erie with Buffalo, New York. Both the Chicago Black Hawks and Pittsburgh Pirates made the arena a temporary home for the first few games of the 1928–29 National Hockey League (NHL) season.

Port Robinson is a small community in the southernmost part of Thorold, Ontario, Canada. The community is divided in half by the Welland Canal, as there is no bridge in the immediate vicinity to connect the two halves of the community. In the summer, a small free ferry for pedestrians and cyclists runs across the canal. In the winter, residents must use the bridge on Highway 20, which results in a 13.3 km (8.3 mi) trip to get to the other side.

Port Weller Dry Docks was a shipbuilder on the Welland Canal at the Lake Ontario entrance. The shipbuilder was founded in 1946 and the site was initially owned by the Government of Canada for storage purchases. The shipyard expanded to include ship repair, and reconstruction work. In 1956, the drydock was sold to the Upper Lakes Shipping Company, which began the construction of vessels at the site. The shipyard twice went insolvent, most recently in 2015. Port Weller Dry Docks was used to build, refit and repair cargo vessels.

The Queen Street Arts and Culture District is the old downtown area of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. The street is now populated with art galleries, restaurants, and performing spaces. Home to one of the Niagara Region's largest Festival, Springlicious.

Ridgeville is a community within the town of Pelham, Ontario, in Canada. It borders the western limit of Fonthill. It derives its name from its location on the south western ridge of the Fonthill Kame. It has a post office, a rural mail route named Ridgeville, a small number of shops found along Canboro Road, including a bakery, chocolate shop and specialty home and bath shops, the local high school, Gwennol Organic Blueberry Farm and the Ridge Berry Farm Tea Room.

Marineland (official name Marineland of Canada Inc.) was a themed zoo and amusement park in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada that operated from 1961 until 2024.

The Upper Steel Arch Bridge, also known as the Honeymoon Bridge or Fallsview Bridge (less frequently Falls View Bridge), was an international bridge which crossed the Niagara River, connecting Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, with Niagara Falls, New York, United States. It was located about 500 feet (150 m) upriver of the present-day Rainbow Bridge. It collapsed in 1938.

The Townline Tunnel is an underwater tunnel in Welland, Ontario, Canada carrying Highway 58A as well as the Canadian Pacific Railway under the Welland Canal.

The 1999 World Rowing Championships were World Rowing Championships that were held from 22 to 29 August 1999 at the Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

The Thorold Cogeneration Station is a natural gas-fired station owned by Northland Power, brought into operation on March 28, 2010. The plant formerly supplied steam to the nearby AbitibiBowater paper mill before the mill was indefinitely idled in March 2017. Power is produced under contract to the Ontario Power Authority.

West Park Secondary School was a secondary school in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, administered by the District School Board of Niagara from 1969 to 2013.

Backety-Back Scenic Railway was a wooden roller coaster located at Crystal Beach Park. The ride opened to the public in 1909 and operated until 1926. The Backety-Back Scenic Railway was notable for a backward-traveling innovation which would be adopted many years later in more modern steel roller coasters. It was also one of the earliest shuttle roller coasters to be built, as well as being the second roller coaster to be built in the Crystal Beach amusement park. The coaster has been cited as a particularly beautiful example of roller coaster architecture.

Coyle Creek is a small creek in the municipalities of Welland, Pelham, and West Lincoln in Ontario, Canada, that forms an important component of the Welland River watershed. The last section of the creek constitutes an oasis of wild habitat in an otherwise increasingly developed area; the upper section of the creek runs through a golf course.

Niagara Public School, today known as School House Bed and Breakfast, was a public school in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario (then called Newark in the Province of Canada). The school house is located at 40 Platoff Street in the National Historic District known as Niagara-on-the-Lake or Old Town.

The Fonthill Kame is a geological feature in the Niagara Peninsula in Pelham, Ontario, Canada. A kame is a moraine in the form of a large, isolated hill. It is composed of sand and gravel deposited by the retreating glaciers of the last ice age. The Fonthill Kame rises about 75 m (246 ft) above the surrounding land (259 m above sea level) and is the highest elevation in the region. Some sources say that the kame is no longer the highest point owing to the removal of sand and gravel. Despite what some sources may say, the kame is simply the highest natural geographic feature in Niagara and the highest point would remain on the kame. There is some debate about the actual highest point though because locals seem to remember a plaque in a farmers field, south of Tice Road and East on Effingham Road, on un-excavated land that marked the highest point.

The Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre: Home of the Jordan Historical Museum is a community history museum established in 1953 that tells the story of the five towns and villages located within the boundaries of the Lincoln, Ontario. The museum began as a joint project between Jordan Wines and the people of the area, many of whom were descendants of Pennsylvania German Mennonite Pennsylvania Dutch and Loyalist settlers United Empire Loyalists.

CKYY-FM (89.1 FM, "Niagara's New Country 89.1") is a radio station licensed to Welland, Ontario. Owned by My Broadcasting Corporation, it broadcasts a country music format serving Niagara Region.

Niagara Falls Transit Terminal is located south of Bridge Street on Erie Avenue in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, directly across from the Niagara Falls railway station.

The Niagara Clifton Bridge, also known as the first Falls View Suspension Bridge, was a suspension bridge over the Niagara River between Niagara Falls, New York and Clifton, Ontario. It was designed by Samuel Keefer, with construction starting in 1867. It was officially opened for traffic on January 2, 1869 and was destroyed in a storm on the night of January 9, 1889.

CIXL-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting in Welland, Ontario. It uses the on-air brand name Classic Rock 91.7 Giant FM, and broadcasts a classic rock format at 91.7 MHz. It is one of the few commercial FM radio stations on its frequency that can be heard in the United States, where frequencies between 88.1 and 91.9 MHz are set aside for noncommercial stations (a stipulation not required in Canada, CIXL's originating country). CIXL's geographical position puts it in direct competition with WGRF Buffalo, CFLZ-FM Fort Erie, Stingray's CHBM-FM Toronto and WHTT Buffalo.

South Lincoln High School was a secondary school in Smithville, Ontario, Canada.

The Welland Canal Bridge 15 is a two-track Baltimore truss swing bridge located in the disused section of the Welland Canal within the city of Welland, Ontario. This section of canal is now known as the Welland Recreational Waterway. The bridge formerly carried the main line of the Canada Southern Railway (CASO) over the canal.

Welland County (area, excluding cities was 226,970 acres) is a historic county in the Canadian province of Ontario.

The Welland House Hotel was a historic building located on 26-30 Ontario Street in Downtown St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The hotel spa resort was one of many in Upper Canada during the Victorian era. It closed in 1993. As of 2020, the site was in the process of being designated as a heritage site to prevent future demolition. Its last use was as a student residence, and then sat vacant. On July 12, 2021; it was destroyed in an early morning fire.

The Welland International Flatwater Centre is a current canoeing, kayaking and rowing facility in Welland, Ontario, Canada and was used for the 2013 ICF Junior and U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships and the 2015 Pan American Games. The facility was renovated in 2013, before the U23 championships began.

The Welland Recreational Waterway is a water channel in the city of Welland, Ontario, Canada. It is an old alignment of the Welland Ship Canal that was unneeded for commercial traffic after the construction of the Welland By-Pass in the 1970s. The Waterway is now managed by the Welland Recreational Canal Corporation to provide enjoyment for the city's residents. Most local residents refer to it as the old canal or simply the canal.

Willoughby Township is the rural southern portion of Niagara Falls, Ontario, between the village of Chippawa and the boundary with Fort Erie. The Battle of Ridgeway (sometimes the Battle of Lime Ridge or Limestone Ridge) was fought in the vicinity of the town of Fort Erie across the Niagara River from Buffalo, New York, near the village of Ridgeway, Canada West, currently Ontario, Canada, on June 2, 1866, between Canadian troops and an irregular army of Irish-American invaders, the Fenians. It was the largest engagement of the Fenian Raids, the first modern industrial-era battle to be fought by Canadians and the first to be fought only by Canadian troops and led exclusively by Canadian officers. The battlefield was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1921 and is the last battle fought within the current boundaries of Ontario against a foreign invasion.

Niagara Gorge is an 11 km (6.8 mi) long canyon carved by the Niagara River along the Canada–United States border, between the U.S. state of New York and the Canadian province of Ontario. It begins at the base of Niagara Falls and ends downriver at the edge of the geological formation known as the Niagara Escarpment near Queenston, Ontario, where the falls originated about 12,500 years ago. The position of the falls has receded upstream toward Lake Erie because of the falling waters' slow erosion of the riverbed's hard Lockport dolomite (a form of limestone that is the surface rock of the escarpment), combined with rapid erosion of the relatively soft layers beneath it. This erosion has created the gorge.

The Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge stood from 1855 to 1897 across the Niagara River and was the world's first working railway suspension bridge. It spanned 825 feet (251 m) and stood 2.5 miles (4.0 km) downstream of Niagara Falls, where it connected Niagara Falls, Ontario to Niagara Falls, New York. Trains used the upper of its two decks, while pedestrians and carriages used the lower. The bridge was the idea of Canadian politicians, and it was built by an American company and a Canadian company. It was most commonly called the Suspension Bridge, although other names included Niagara Railway Suspension Bridge, Niagara Suspension Bridge, and its official American name of the International Suspension Bridge.

Welland South was an electoral riding in Ontario, Canada. It existed from 1967 to 1975, when it was abolished when the riding was redistributed into Erie. It consisted of the southern areas of the city of Welland. It was only represented by Liberal Ray Haggerty.

The Brown Homestead (also known as the Brown-Jouppien House) is a designated heritage property located on 1317 Pelham Road, St. Catharines, Ontario. The dwelling is an example of Loyalist Georgian architecture. It is the oldest residence remaining in the city, as it was first constructed in 1796. The Brown Homestead was expanded through an addition completed in 1802. At the time of construction, Pelham Road was a stagecoach route.

St. Mark's Church is a historic Anglican church in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada. It is the oldest church in the Diocese of Niagara and the second oldest Anglican church in Ontario.

Niagara District Court House, better known as the Court House Theatre, is a former court house and venue for the Shaw Festival (until 1973) in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

Bridge 11, also known as the Allanburg Bridge, is a vertical-lift bridge over the Welland Canal within the City of Thorold and community of Allanburg, Ontario, Canada. The location was used for the groundbreaking ceremony for the canal. It was constructed and completed in 1930. The bridge carries Hwy 20 connecting Niagara Falls to Fonthill.

Grimsby GO Station is a proposed commuter rail station on the GO Transit train and bus network in Southern Ontario, Canada. Located in the town of Grimsby in the Regional Municipality of Niagara, it would be a stop on the Lakeshore West line, east of the proposed Confederation GO Station in Hamilton. It was expected to open in 2021 and would have been the first station to open in the planned Niagara extension, which will also include stops at St. Catharines and Niagara Falls stations.

The Ontario Power Company Generating Station is a former generating station located along the Niagara River in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, just below the Horseshoe Falls.

Kalar Sports Park is a multi-purpose outdoor sports facility in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The stadium is owned by the Niagara United Football Club. It is located on 6775 Kalar Road. On August 17, 2012 Niagara United received a grant of $75, 000 from Ontario Trillium Foundation for the purchase of a new scoreboard. The club also spent around $750, 000 in renovations for the increase in stadium seats, scoreboard, new clubhouse, and new FIFA -approved turf field in order to accommodate the clubs needs by joining the Canadian Soccer League. The stadium hosted the 2013 CSL Championship final which featured SC Waterloo vs Kingston FC.

St. George's Anglican Church is a church in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. It was first established in 1792 (1792). In 1836 (1836), the church was destroyed by a fire and was rebuilt in 1840 (1840).

The St. Catharines Armoury is a Recognized Federal Heritage Building in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The building is currently used by the Canadian Armed Forces as a drill hall. The armoury trains the Lincoln and Welland Regiment and serves the 10th Battery of the 56th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA.

Tweed Farms in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario was the world's largest legal cannabis greenhouse in 2014. At that time, it had 350,000 square feet (33,000 m²) of indoor space. It is owned by Canopy Growth Corporation, a publicly traded Canadian company. In 2017 the company received a license to expand to c. 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m²) of space, to be ready for production by April 2018.

The Port Colborne explosion at Port Colborne, Ontario was a dust explosion in the Dominion grain elevator on August 9, 1919. The blast killed 10 and seriously injured 16 more.

Fort Erie was a pair of adjacent Grand Trunk (partnered with the Canadian National Railway) and Michigan Central (succeeded by the New York Central) railroad stations in Fort Erie, Ontario. In earlier years, the Wabash Railroad served the Grand Trunk station as well via traffic rights.

S.C.E.N.E. Music Festival (sometimes shortened to SCENE Fest) was a music festival founded by Chris "Cashmere" Wojtowicz, singer/songwriter of Revenge Of The Egg People/Rumble Devils, held in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. The event was held annually beginning in 1995, usually in late June or early July. Originally a one-day event, the last event to date, in 2014, was extended to two days. The acronym "S.C.E.N.E." stands for Saint Catharines Event for New Music Entertainment, and is a play on words for "being scene", meaning being "with the trend". The festival was booked at several venues throughout St. Catharines, where bands of all genres performed, though it was known to showcase mostly hardcore groups. The first 2000 people to enter the festival received a compilation CD free of charge featuring songs by bands performing in the festival that year.

Saint David's Buried Gorge is an ancient pre-glacial river bed that existed 22,800 years ago on the present-day Niagara Peninsula. The ancient Saint David's River once flowed through this area prior to the advance of the Wisconsin glaciation during the Last Glacial Period. When the glacier retreated 12,000 years ago, the gorge and river valley were filled in with glacial silt and rocks. Approximately 4,200 years ago, the Niagara River intersected the buried gorge in the course of Niagara Falls receding toward Lake Erie. When the river encountered the glacial silt that filled the gorge, the river rapidly changed course to fill the ancient gorge and wash out most of the silt. This led to the formation of the Niagara Whirlpool. The Niagara River reclaimed the gorge and currently flows through part of the ancient gorge. The other part of the ancient gorge extends into Lake Ontario at a different point than the Niagara River. The gorge is estimated to be 4,000 ft (1,200 m) long, 1,000 ft (300 m) wide, and 300 ft (91 m) deep.

WWE Niagara Falls was a retail store located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. It was owned and operated by Canadian Niagara Hotels Inc., with its name and branding being licensed by the WWE. It was the second WWE establishment to open up after WWF New York/The World in 1999, and the first WWE establishment to open outside of the United States. After The World closed in 2003, it became the only official WWE retail store in the world.
