Substation 7 is a traction substation located at 1782 Third Avenue at 99th Street in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan. The Manhattan Railway Company built it in order to electrify the Second, Third and Ninth Avenue elevated lines. It served as a power source for the IRT Lexington Avenue Line from 1918 until the 1970s. It originally converted 25 Hz AC power from the 74th Street power station, to DC for the electric motors. The substation is owned by the MTA and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

La Subestación 7 (en inglés, Substation 7) es una subestación de tracción ubicada en el número 1782 de la Tercera Avenida, a la altura de la Calle 99, en el Upper East Side de Manhattan. La Manhattan Railway Company la construyó para electrificar las líneas elevadas de las avenidas Segunda, Tercera y Novena. Sirvió como fuente de energía para la Línea de la Avenida Lexington desde 1918 hasta la década de 1970.[2]​ Originalmente convertía la potencia de corriente alterna a 25 Hz procedente de la central eléctrica de la Calle 74, a corriente continua para los motores eléctricos.[3]​
