Akerselva or Akerselven (English: Aker River) is a river which flows through Oslo. It starts at Maridalsvannet in Oslomarka, and traverses the boroughs of Nordre Aker, Sagene, Grünerløkka, central Oslo and Grønland, whereby it finally ends at Paulsenkaien and Oset in Bjørvika. The river is considered to be a part of the Nordmarkvassdraget, and has the Norwegian watercourse number 006.Z. The entire river is about 8.2 kilometres (5.1 mi) long, and has a difference in elevation between source and mouth of approximately 149 metres (489 ft).

Grünerløkka ['grɒːnəˌɭœka] is a borough but also a neighborhood of the city of Oslo, Norway. Grünerløkka became part of the city of Oslo (then Christiania) in 1858. Grünerløkka was traditionally a working class district; since the late 20th century the area has increasingly undergone gentrification. The station is served by line 5 of the metro and Line 17 of the tramway, with four hourly departures during regular hours. The tram operates every 10 minutes during regular hours.

The church is made of brick with a weak front running cross-arms and has about 500 seats. It is inspired by German Gothic style and has a high narrow tower above the entrance, which faces east. Paul's Church was designed by the architect Henrik Bull in 1889, and restoration of the church were made in 1917-18 and in 1972.

Løren station is an underground rapid transit station of the Oslo Metro and the newest on the subway network. Serving the Oslo, Norway, neighborhood of Løren in the borough of Grünerløkka, the station is the only situated on the Løren Line. Designed by Arne Henriksen, the station is situated 27 meters (89 ft) underground. Construction of the station began in 2013 and was completed in 2016. The station is estimated to have 6,000 daily passengers. It is served every fifteen minutes by trains running along the adjoining Ring Line via the Løren Line to the Grorud Line.

Sinsenparken is a park between Lørenveien road and the Gjøvik Line at Sinsen, in Oslo, Norway. The 21.2 acre park is used for recreational purposes. The area is bounded by 6 storey residential buildings on three sides, and has Sinsen Church framing the south. There is a leisure and recreation area for the community, which is used for exercise, dog walking, games, sunbathing, barbecuing, social gatherings and other recreation. The entire surface is covered with grass, and in the northeastern part of the park are some tall trees. In the park stands a memorial in remembrance of the 24 Sinsen residents who fell during World War II. The monument was unveiled by Alfred Seland in September 1949.
